This hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the train station which was really great. It was nice and clean, safe for a solo traveller, and also a handy walking distance location from the castle and a couple of other nice walking locations. The breakfast choices were good and the 12noon check-out time was very welcome!

Everything I would imagine from my winter stay in Finland. Wonderful landscape, quiet, picturesque, saunas by the lake, wooden cabins, woodland. I will definitely come back and in fact cannot wait to come back. Staff were so friendly even though it was so cold and they did not have many other guests. Great memories from this place. The setting was beautiful. From my balcony I looked over lawns and the lake. The grounds are large and have lake access, a pond, a sensory garden and a great little cafe serving waffles. They lead onto a trail which takes you to the lovely art centre and forest museum at Lusto. The layout of the interior shows clearly it was a former hospital, but it's given charm by the old photos, tiny lounges, art deco staircases and nooks and crannies. My room was furnished with quality period furniture.
