An excellent location close to Repovesi National Park. We stayed in one of the small cottages, not in the main building. Excellent breakfast and dinner. We booked the lake sauna for an additional fee - highly recommend.

The overall rating affected by communication with agent Maria (!), as well as the lack of privacy that we expected from this area. When booking this cottage, you must consider the following: 1. you can't see this on photos, but the house is located very close to the: (1) outbuildings where owners keep tractor with related stuff, (2) sawmill building - this largely affected our privacy 2. house is located close to n15 highway, so be prepared for a constant noise from the road 3. cleanliness when we arrived - please see photos. we got a rather dirty cottage, but Maria also ignored this 4. relatively old house and furniture, limited dishes (eg no salad bowls /other kitchen stuff), but in general it is okay for a three-day stay 5. real owners (wonderful finish family) renting this house to the Russian-speaking agent Maria (Kallista company), who subleases the house via online resources (eg booking). When communicating this agent, we encountered great inconvenience, misunderstanding and rudeness from her side (eg issues with floor heating and lightning were not resolved and Maria simply ignored and further blocked me via WhatsApp messenger:)), HOPEFULLY we found the real owners in the house nearby and were able to resolve all this staff) 6. important. Finish owners dunno speak English, so be prepared to use an audio translator (to be honest, it was even cute:) 7. Close to the house (7-10 minutes by car) there are grocery stores + 20 minutes) there is a large shopping center 8. wonderful trails and places for great hiking nearby, as well as old city of Verla UPD: on top of that the agent has not returned the refundable amount of the deposit for the house…. Generally immaterial for us, I just think she is a real fraud. Beeware! And yes, Maria has a hundred answers to this, but the fact remains:)

We had a fantastic stay at Jokiranta - so much so that we stayed an extra night! The house and location were perfect for a family trip with three children. We really enjoyed the wood-burning sauna, riverside location and berries in the garden! The host was extremely helpful from start to finish and the house had all the amenities we needed for a four-day stay. We will definitely consider returning. Thank you!

Great sauna

The house exceeded all our expectations! It turned out to be located on a small island with a few other similar houses, none of which were occupied whenever we were there. The house was equipped with a small sauna and kitchen. BBQ facilities were right outside. We also had a right to use boats for no additional charge, so we went for a row around the island. The host was super friendly and always available on the phone in case any assistance was needed.
