This hotel opened recently (less than a year ago) and everything is still new and up to recent standards.
The sea view can be great - but conversely the one from the back of the hotel is really bad, so make sure you secure a room in the front.

My fourth time staying here at Au Tonnelier. Rooms always very clean and comfortable. It's an excellent stop off point via the channel ferries and Bergues is a very interesting town.
This was the worst hotel we ever booked.
Staff was noth working we booked a non smoking and it smelled for smoke. Window was not to fix during the night. the Walls are dirty. The entrace walk way was in a desolate state. The entrance lady was very nice.

Hotel staff are all friendly and welcoming.
Hotel staff are all friendly and welcoming. Rooms are very comfortable. Had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant, best steak I have had for a long time.
My only niggle, would like to see proper cups/mugs in the room, do not like the small plastic cups at all.
We will be staying there again on our return trip.

Room was fine for a one night stop, en route to the Channel Tunnel. Just outside Dunkirk, it was convenient for what we wanted, a visit to the large Auchan at Grande Synthe and then setting off for the Channel Tunnel. We were on the ground floor, which meant that we were able to park the car immediately outside the room, which was a great help. The lady in reception was pleasant and very helpful (not always our experience at budget hotels).
I guess you get what you are paying for. Yes there was a bit of mold, and bit of smell of dampness, that open door and draft eliminated...BUT the linings were nice an clean, the bathroom, although small, but clean and private, and my family found the beds no less comfy than in other budget hotels. Free parking and good location by the lake. Nice guy at the reception 👌
Perfect location travelling with eurotunnel.
Perfect location to walk the dogs - lake walk literally opposite side of hotel
Very friendly staff
Doors onto car park so easy to unload/ load
Tea and coffee making facility
It's a budget hotel, so keep your expectations in check! However I found it totally adequate for a night's rest, the bedding and towels were clean, the shower hot, the free wifi fast, all for an unbeatable price!
Compared to other premiere classe hotels this one is terrible shape. Rooms are dirty. Walls need to be repainted. Things were broken inside. Bathroom tiny. Outside does not look like it is maintained.
to be honest I can’t wait to book this hotel again this is best hotel ever stay absolutely everything perfect comfortable nice stuff nice place location is best location and cheap !!!
