It’s a pretty little village with one hotel, 2 high end restaurants and a patisserie. There is nothing else. It’s handy for visiting Pegasus bridge but the busses stop running at about 9am and don’t return till about 5

A nice small town made famous by the taking of the Benouville Bridge by the British Airborne glider section in WW2 (renamed Pegasus Bridge for the badge of the regiment). Excellent museum and visit the local cemetery as many WW2 British soldiers who were KIA rest there.IanAustralia

Good choice of menus and the best steak we had on our holiday. We stayed here last year and nothing has changed. Friendly and helpful staff. Also walking distance to Pegasus Bridge and less than ten minutes from ferry terminal
