A truly beautiful setting with a wonderful welcome, very comfortable rooms with every attention to detail.Nothing was too much trouble. One of the best hotels we have stayed in.
Nestled in Champagnac-de-Belair, in the heart of the Périgord region, Le Moulin du Roc was built in 1670 on the Dronne, a river which runs through its grounds. The property is 5 km from Brantôme.

Such an elegant hotel. Our room and terrace were lovely, extremely comfortable and well maintained. The staff were exceptional, especially Emiline who seemed to be the unlucky one who was always available to answer all of our assorted questions about the surrounding area. She is delightful.
The restaurant, Roda, was outstanding. The food and service exceptional with an elegant setting.

Brantome is an extremely picturesque small town and is a major attraction for tourists, particularly during high season.
The varied shops and cafes provide opportunities to browse while the weekly market is a must-see if you are able to visit.
The whole town is a network of small streets and bridges to explore with the river, parks and abbey providing photo opportunities at every turn.
Visit the top floor of the abbey for spectacular views and an insight into the construction of the building.
Great central location for touring the area.

Brantôme is a lovely little town, great for a day trip or overnight stay. Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Good choice of restaurants but they fill up quickly so need to be booked fairly early in the day.

There is a good wine merchant specialising in local wines and an excellent delicatessen.
We also enjoyed a 50 minute boat trip on the river and walking round the town and its surrounding area.

The abbey was fascinating and such a highlight. The town was lovely and quiet which suited us. But being a Monday, of course everything was closed! We ate on the Sunday night at our hotel which was superb.

Great atmosphere, lots going on in the Summer months, brilliant weekly market. Lovely scenery, good amenities and plenty of history. The Caves of the Abbey are well worth a visit. The river is lovely where you can either go on the river boat or hire kayaks.
A wonderful hotel in a romantic setting overlooking the river. They kindly acceded to my request and provided us with a convenient room with no stairs.
All staff were eceptioonally welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast is is very good, as is the Fil du Temp bistro associated with the hotel (great food and exceptional value for money). The al la carte restaurant is exceptional - one of the most original and stunning meals I have eer eaten. Just superb.
WE came to the b@b during our eight visit to France. So we had certain expectations. as to what we wanted. We were absolutely amazed how we were treated. Everything was great: the comfort and beauty of the facilities, the kindness and professionalism of people who run this gorgeous place. We were very lucky to find Moulin de Vigonac and already have recommended it to our family and friends.

Exceptional value for money, very accommodating hosts, modern and clean hotel centrally located.
We were fortunate enough to land on a public holiday so had a super view of the fireworks. On the advice of the owner we booked evening meals which were superb. highly recommend the Duck.
Ask for a balcony view if you like to people watch or a rear bedroom if you want peace and quiet.
Perfect location, literally 3 minutes to the town. lots of restaurants and bars open even out of season - there is a Spar store for any local shopping. The property is up one flight of stairs - well appointed - warm and comfortable parking on the property -so off the road. the park is opposite and lovely way to walk into Brantome.
property is beautiful, walking distance to Brantome so the perfect country place! they have done a stunning job refurbishing the old mill, it is appealing and comfortable. Our favorite thing was the team running the hotel. they were as kind and lovely as can be! We are already thinking about when we can return!
The location of this with the views were just stunning, its such a beautiful looking hotel as well. Fabulous rooms and would highly recommend the terrace suites worth the extra price as just incredible views and with hot tubs for evenings on the terrace with a drink. Fabulous meal and breakfast
Angélique & Julian runs this tiny hotel with a few rooms & restaurant of traditional local french dishes all made by Angélique himself. In the dining room are photos of French Polynesia where the couple spent there earlier years. I recommend staying here and having dinner.
The most exceptional experience I've had so far in my visit in France. So accommodating and amazing. The food should have been rated as a Michelin star restaurant because that's what it was. most extraordinary
