ibis budget Cherbourg - La Glacerie, hotel in Brix

Located a 10-minute drive from le Bassin du Commerce and from Cherbourg Golf Course, ibis budget Cherbourg is a 24-hour reception hotel with a restaurant and free Wi-Fi access.

I arrived at the reception (without booking) quoted 140€ odd it was 9 pm and I asked if there was anything cheaper. No was the response, I left and booked online in my car within 3 minutes , then re entered the hotel and up to reception where I got my €76 room key. The young lady at reception was most unhelpful. I quizzed her as to why I was able to book a room on booking. Com to be told there must have been a cancellation. Tell us another.!!! Not a pleasant experience Norman Allison

it was a real French experience, marvellous hosts, luxury, comfort and privacy. Excellent location, convenient to Cherbourge and access to the Normandy region. children would love their friendly black labradore, a big softy, and the chickens strutting around the large lawned gardens.

This authentic castle is in a very peaceful location near the village of Brix. We stayed in one of the very spacious apartments full of antique furniture and a very large comfortable bed. The kitchen was fully equipped with a full oven. Climbing the stone steps of the tower to our rooms was very enjoyable! The breakfast was tasty and the hosts very welcoming.

Beautiful Chateau with spacious room. Very nicely and comfortably furnished. Historically significant, with its fresh spring stool flowing that was one of the fresh water sources for the village Brix and its well intact pigeoncote where the wealthy kept their pigeons. A very special place!!!

The hosts made us more than welcome providing a splendid breakfast a bottle of local cider on arrival and ensured we were comfortable. Considering the limitations of this centuries old chateau for anyone wishing to escape from the normal sterile hotel give it a try.

The room has allowed me to catch some hours of sleep in a long drive. The hotel may be a quite old and worn, but it's clean and comfortable enough, particularly taking the price into account.
