Excellent location, a bit noisy at night but the fan was enough to drown the noise out. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and made the stay far more pleasant and enjoyable as a result.

Candie is a regular stop for us en route to Italy, and it never disappoints. The rooms are period-decorated, very comfortable and with all your favourite extras - Nespresso machine, good toiletries and plenty of hangers (not usual in many French hotels!). The main chateau has the larger rooms. Set above the city of Chambery, the views are spectacular and it is very quiet. There is a lovely swimming pool and walks through the extensive grounds is a real pleasure after a long day in the car. All the staff are friendly and very helpful.

A real find - not very touristy. Very friendly. Great old town with lots of restaurants. Excellent street market (Saturday). Brilliant base to explore the two parks , Chartreuse and Massif de Bauges.
Much better than tourist swamped Annecy (do day trip only and avoid weekends!).
Do not miss a walk up to Charmettes.

I didn't think the hotel was as easy to find as others have suggested. The underground parking is good..... HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO BOOK A SPACE BEFORE ARRIVAL. This is not highlighted on the Booking.com website

The town is wonderful.
The town is wonderful. Old stonehouses and also palaces and great administrative old buildings in baroque and classical styles. Surrounding mountains add to the views. Sadly you could see quite a lot drug users and homeless and unemployed people.

We were on our way to Les Arc to ski so needed a somewhere to stay overnight that was conveniently close to the motorway. The Chambery Ibis hotel ticked all the boxes and allowed us to continue our journey completely refreshed, at a very reasonable cost.

My husband left valuable jewellery in room by mistake .. after email and 3 phone calls he could not get any result.
We are still trying to have his property returned .. the receptionist keeps saying they do not speak English and tell him to phone back.
Very distressing.

Finding and entering the hotel after late arrival was a bit spooky, but functioning exactly as described and once in the room a great experience.
Breakfast was outstanding, really French and with fresh juice, warm bread, different sorts of cheese and marmalade, honey, ham, croissants and coffee/tea.
Chambéry a very charming city with great gastronomy (especially Restaurant Folie), design, culture and lot more in the pipeline! Looking forward to return!
The rooms were well appointed with everything we needed and were comfortable. We had one double room and one family room. The sofa bed could have been more comfortable but they are never great and it was only for a stop-over of one night. The location of the hotel was great, near to bars and restaurants where we could get a good meal etc ... The breakfast in the morning was delicious, a fantastic selection and choice - would highly recommend it.
This is a very good hotel. The room was small, but clean and comfortable with a nice shower room and air conditioning. It's in the centre of town so there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice - we really liked the fact that there were plenty of local products on offer. There are several public carparks nearby.
Bed and pillows are really good! Better than in some 4* hotels.
Mattress is really good, cleaning every 2 days with updates towels etc.
The service, staff, location are much better than 2*. I was really surprised and glad.
Reception was very polite, gave many useful advices, that my time in this place was pleasant and interesting. Merci beaucoup!
Extremely convenient when traveling by car as it is close to the entrance to Chambéry. In addition, a large and convenient parking lot is provided. The interior spaces are excellently developed - restaurant, bar, courtyard and pool. The rooms offer everything you need.
Was a stopover on drive to South of France. Right on the motorway, easy to get to. Was exactly what we needed. Basic accommodation, but clean. Would happily make this a regular stop on future trips. The food/beer in the restaurant was fantastic after the drive.
The room and bathroom were really modern, clean and with some nice fancy forniture.
The hotel is located 5 min walk from city center and staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice continental breakfast in the morning and private parking behind the hotel.
The place is beautiful, was spotless and had everything we needed. The host was lovely and very helpful, we definitely recommend Chabot de Saint Maurice for a stay in the heart of Chambéry.
Breakfast is excellent and did meet our expectations form a 4* Hotel. Location and natural surroundings are romantic and great, the rooms are equipped very comfortable beds.
Complete luxury in elegantly renovated 15th Century house right in the centre of old Chambery. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was amazing!
