It was in a fairly convenient position off the A10. The owner/ receptionist was extremely pleasant and though I can speak French, I was very tired and he happily spoke English. The room was fine, though tired and could do with a refresh, the bed was comfortable, which is the most important thing. The kettle for morning coffee was a welcome sight, but the filter on it was completely encrusted with lime-scale.

The position near the old town centre would be good for those wishing to visit the Abbey and adjacent interesting buildings. However, finding one's way there by car was exceptionally difficult. The morning staff were very pleasant and helpful.
