Everything! Ideally located in the centre of Confolens, right next to the free car park. Lovely period house with interesting features, very friendly and helpful hostess, who couldn’t have done more. No food on site, but you could irder pizza in advance or breakfast /bread in advance. There is a hypermarket approx 5-10 mins drive away and the "tent" we had came with sufficient facilities to self cater. The town was a short walk away with some bars / cafes, bank and some restaurants. A fish and chip shop was open Weds to Sat (not tried). The location was delightfully peaceful and right on the River Vienne. Our "tent" was small but had everything we needed including a comfy double bed and power. We were right on the river - it was delightful. The shared wash facilities were very good and at a high standard. Loos are external in a separate block but were clean. Just be prepared as a lot of French camp sites do not provide toilet paper. Would highly recommend this site.
