We were quite positively surprised by the hotel’s simply magnificemt estate. It all started with the very first impression, the warm welcome we received from the recepcionist. Our rooms were perfect and decorated with real taste. The estate is at short foot walking distance to one of the most charming villages we ever visited. We will come back one day, for sure!

Mas de l'Olivette, hotel in Cotignac

Featuring a heated swimming pool in the garden that is planted with olive trees, Mas de l'Olivette is located 18 km from Barbaroux Golf Club and 30 km from les Gorges du Verdon.

We were made to feel very welcome by Yannick, who was v helpful about sites to see and things to do. The room was sweet, well looked after and comfortable, as was the bed, with a nice shower room. Lovely to have a little terrace outside too. We were here in March, and bet it would be great to use the pool in the summer! That's the downside of visiting out of season.

La Quiétude, hotel in Cotignac

La Quiétude is situated in Cotignac. The property has garden views. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The spacious guest house features a flat-screen TV.

The best stay in private accommodation we ever had! The honest warmth Sylviane greets you with might be matched only by one's own beloved granma. The apartmant is situated 4 min walking distance from the main sqaure (with all the shops and restaurants), in a very narrow and inclined two-way (!) street. There are 4 free street parking places in front of the house, and plenty of those around the village (we parked near the local school - 5 min walking distance from accommodation). Encountering a car coming from the opposite direction is "fun" but managable :) The apartment is super cute, clean and well equiped - the photos match reality. We booked 4 nights and got a bottle of rosé and water bottles waiting for us in the fridge.

Cotignac is a gem in the back country.

Cotignac is a gem in the back country. Close to many interesting places, the village itself is captivating. From walking the Main Street Cours Gambetta to venturing up the cliff faces to see the troglodyte caves, there is so much to do. One of the highlights was the sacred trinity church on the top of the hill. But the best part about the town was the delightful restaurants and staff. A wonderful place.

It was well worth the steep climb to visit the ancient caves, as it afforded a fantastic view of the whole valley. Cotignac was a real little gem, strolling through the town browsing the small boutiques & stopping to watch the men play pétanque in the early evenings. While we were there (July 14) the had a village Pasta party with dancing afterwards. Pretty much the whole village turned out.

The food was delicious. Breakfast and dinner was included in the rate. We could only eat dinner at the restaurant one night and he made sure not to charge us for the other night. Staff was very friendly. The location was very close to town! The rooms were very pretty and nicely decorated and air conditioned! (Not many places in Cotignac are airconditioned so that was great!) Free parking.

Jonny was a fabulous host, he met us at the apartment and explained everything. The accommodation was neat, clean and spacious. It was well appointed for cooking, washing and sleeping. The view was of the clock tower and a pretty square. It was also directed opposite the best boulangerie in Cotignac. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment. Thanks for your hospitality Jonny.

This property is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful retreat - we loved every part of it from the outdoor patio to the pool to the thoughtfully decorated rooms. We were warmly greeted by Brigitte who served us wine and snacks on the patio upon our check in. We wish we could have stayed more than one night, and would absolutely recommend to anyone who’s staying in the Cotignac area!

Delicious breakfast, friendly and kind hosts. Tranquil location within walking distance from the downtown area of Cotignac, where there are restaurants and bars you can enjoy. Less than an hours’ drive to Gorges du Verdon. Clean and comfortable rooms. We had everything we needed. There is also a nice outdoor area that is especially wonderful at night when the cliffs are lit up.

Facilities were great, very clean and beautiful traditional style. Mix of modern with new kitchen, bathrooms and garden seating. Everything for the baby was provided too. There is a stunning restaurant just 5/10 minutes walk away called ‘le jardin secret’ at the lou callen hotel. Atmosphere and food were fantastic. Cotignac as a town is also beautiful and steeped in history.

The host Stephanie was absolutely lovely. She looked after us so well, brought us fresh breakfast every morning, and gave us good recommendations to where to visit in Cotignac. Well worth the price, and a good location for anyone looking to visit Cotignac or visit the Cahteau de Robernier nearby, which we did for a wedding. Cant recommend enough.

The town of Cotignac which is lively with all its picturesque narrow streets. The Wednesday market . The Rocks and the views as you climb up and investigate all the small streets. The restaurants especially " le temps qui passe " on place de la mairie. The politeness of all people whether shopkeepers or passing by people.
