We were quite positively surprised by the hotel’s simply magnificemt estate. It all started with the very first impression, the warm welcome we received from the recepcionist. Our rooms were perfect and decorated with real taste. The estate is at short foot walking distance to one of the most charming villages we ever visited. We will come back one day, for sure!

We were made to feel very welcome by Yannick, who was v helpful about sites to see and things to do. The room was sweet, well looked after and comfortable, as was the bed, with a nice shower room. Lovely to have a little terrace outside too. We were here in March, and bet it would be great to use the pool in the summer! That's the downside of visiting out of season.

The best stay in private accommodation we ever had! The honest warmth Sylviane greets you with might be matched only by one's own beloved granma.
The apartmant is situated 4 min walking distance from the main sqaure (with all the shops and restaurants), in a very narrow and inclined two-way (!) street. There are 4 free street parking places in front of the house, and plenty of those around the village (we parked near the local school - 5 min walking distance from accommodation). Encountering a car coming from the opposite direction is "fun" but managable :)
The apartment is super cute, clean and well equiped - the photos match reality. We booked 4 nights and got a bottle of rosé and water bottles waiting for us in the fridge.

Cotignac is a gem in the back country.
Cotignac is a gem in the back country. Close to many interesting places, the village itself is captivating. From walking the Main Street Cours Gambetta to venturing up the cliff faces to see the troglodyte caves, there is so much to do. One of the highlights was the sacred trinity church on the top of the hill. But the best part about the town was the delightful restaurants and staff. A wonderful place.

It was well worth the steep climb to visit the ancient caves, as it afforded a fantastic view of the whole valley. Cotignac was a real little gem, strolling through the town browsing the small boutiques & stopping to watch the men play pétanque in the early evenings. While we were there (July 14) the had a village Pasta party with dancing afterwards. Pretty much the whole village turned out.AAnonymousFrance

It was well appointed for cooking, washing and sleeping. The view was of the clock tower and a pretty square. It was also directed opposite the best boulangerie in Cotignac.
