One of my favourite hotels. Second time I booked there (first with kids, second with hubby) and never disappointed. Great value for money, rooms are spotless and very comfortable, staff wonderful. Best of this hotel are the underground pools of the spa.

I only arrived in Dax at 11 PM on a Tuesday and was happy to find a bar open to grab a beer. Just staying for the night, but walked the old city the following day to get a glimpse. I could have stayed in this lovely little city for a day with its historical vibe. Lots of spa and wellness facilities, if you're into that.

Picturesque small market town on river
Great walk along riverside and photo opportunity on wide pedestrian bridge

Try the local department store with amazing metalwork baulastrade and atrium .... with small Carrefour speciality food section inside like a top of food range at M and S ideal for sourcing a picnic to sit by the banks of the river
Breakfast was limited, the position was too close to the cathedral and nosey young people drinking outside my window at night, altogether too noisy. Worst of all my friend paid the costs for 2 weeks and additional breakfasts, but as I was ill there and did not like noise My friend lost all her money as I sated 2 nights and 2 breakfasts. My friend spent her money from an accident she had so I could wait there for my passport but I left and she lost ALL HER MONEY not her fault or mine. I am now in hospital in France she is in UK.
Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome! The hotel is very quaint, comfortable and clean. The location is amazing! Very close to the center of town, to restaurants and all kinds of shops. The hostess is very friendly and goes out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. There is a great supermarket about two blocks away that carries multiple varieties of items including clothing, house items and pharmacy.
Wonderful interesting town house in Dax.
Hosts were really hospitable and kind, and supplied a delicious home made breakfast.
Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom facilities were spotlessly clean.
An easy walk into the old town.
We enjoyed a 65km cycle into the surrounding countryside and watched a great game of Pro D2 rugby at Dax stadium.
The hotel is located on the river and near lots of eateries and shopping in center of town. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We were on bicycles and were able to store them securely in baggage room. The rooms are spacious, the beds super comfortable. The bathrobes and slippers added a touch of luxury. We highly recommend this hotel.
Hôtel Le Relais Dax is situated in a very quiet area (few minutes walk from the old town). Although the rooms are relatively small, there is enough space. The rooms are clean and equipped with very comfortable beds. Friendly service and tasty breakfasts (paid extra). I would highly recommend!
Size of our room was bigger then expected
We stayed due to travels through to Portugal.
Cute city with a nice local market on Saturday morning.
Friendly staff. Hotel outdated but good price as compensation for this. Small bed but very clean and big toom.
Small but comfortable and bright studio with an excellent location for the city centre. Very quiet at night. The parking space is very useful, as it's hard to park without paying in the centre of Dax.
The apartment was exactly as it appears in the photos, very nicely decorated, with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The location is superb, right in the very centre of Dax.
What a lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
It's a short walk to the town square.
