Dinan is beautiful and we are sorry that we were only staying for 1 night as part of an organised event. We ate at La Terrasse by the old bridge on the river. The food and staff were excellent. We were able to walk from and to our apartment through the old town without problem. Just be aware that it is steep walking back up from the river to the pedestrianised area of the newer town.

Cafe culture, beautiful views, charming and vibrant town sq with weekly market. Tranquil. Too much to see in one day. Take a two hour electric hire boat with a picnic down the river. Eat Moules until you can't move and relax.

Charming place, especially the port.
Charming place, especially the port. No boats - while we were there -to St Malo because of the tides, as the river is tidal up to Dinan. The older part is almost traffic free. Fascinating shops, deli's, market on Thursday.

Loved Dinan, its so pretty , every street is pleasing to walk along, and has lots of attractions around the area. Plenty of great places to eat and drink or sit outside the cafe's and watch the world go by. St Malo is a 'must' to see, very similar to Dinan.

We only spent a day in Dinan as we were on our way home at the end of our holiday. Dinan is beautiful and worthy of a longer stay. We will definitely go back and spend more time there and in the area.

We only stayed two nights and didn't get a chance to fully explore but we liked what we saw. The apartment is in the Port area. It is really well equipped and the host was friendly and informative. A short walk away (but up a steep hill - so you deserve your first beer) is the medieval pedestrianized area of the town which has many bars and restaurants.
We plan to return another time.
The room was large and clean, the weather was cool and the room was just a little on the warm side as it was in the eves. I'm a bit fussy regarding pillows and could have done with a feather one rather than foam. As the fete des Rampart was on the hotel was very expensive and therefore hard to judge as for this price we could have had a 5 star. The staff were very helpful and helped make the visit pleasant.
The renovated manor house is a beautiful gem with lovely gardens. Samanthe and Phillipe were exceptional hosts. They were very helpful and friendly. The location is in the country side close to Dinan. Samanthe makes homemade cider and the breakfasts were the best we had in France. We were very happy with our stay and the rooms were impeccably clean, newly decorated and very comfortable.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel is convenient to much of the "old town" sights and restaurants. The room was small but it was clean and comfortable. The hotel view for us was of the old chateau. The breakfast was adequate but they were obviously following COVID restrictions and guidelines which I appreciated greatly.
A lovely little hotel just outside the Porte de St Malo in Dinan. Great continental breakfast and lovely staff. Very comfortable. We had a room next to a cobbled street which could get noisy during the day, so I'd recommend spending a bit more and getting a room overlooking the lovely little courtyard(s). We'd certainly go again.
This quirky little pub/ restaurant set in the centre of beautiful Dinan was a perfect stop on our tour of Northern France. The welcome was fantastic, rooms were quiet and comfortable and the food was gorgeous. Parking was available in the square outside and the cathedral and tourist areas were only moments away
Very convenient location - close to Dinan but at the same time without city noises. The rooms are good, with spacious bathrooms. Excellent breakfast, i highly recommend getting it along with the room.
Sofi was friendly and helpful!
A lot of private parking space, no need to look for anything around.
We really enjoyed our stay at this small, comfortable and very clean hotel. The location is excellent for the small railway station and walks into the historic town of Dinan, Everyone was very friendly and the continental breakfast buffet was delightful (especially the plums).
The location is great, right in the centre of Dinan! The staff is friendly and we got to bring our dog for no extra charge (which is why we booked). The room was bright, airy and clean, as well as the bathroom. We would book here again if we were travelling with our dogs!
Friendly, helpful and generous hosts. Amazing location right next to the old town. Great breakfast and very reasonable room rates. I never post reviews but logged on to write this as you should definitely stay at this hotel for your trip to Dinan.
A good base to visit Dinan when arriving by car. We were able to check-in, drop everything & walk into the old town & down to the port for dinner.
Good sized room with kitchenette.
Had a relaxing hour in the pool at the end of the second day.
gardens were great for the dog, the location was lovely, and the property had been renovated to a nice standard, the property is very well located in the old port of Dinan where there were several choices of restaurants/ bars and eateries.
Visited this hotel for another pleasant stay for an ideal stopover with children taking in the sights of Dinan before taking the ferry from Saint-Malo. Great breakfast in family friendly and conveniently located hotel.
A fantastic apartment in the heart of old Dinan, ideally positioned for the walk into Dinan centre or the Port of Dinan. Ann-Kathrin is an amazing host and really looked after us on arrival and departure.
Superb location within walking distance to town and port of Dinan, wonderful restored house of 1760's, decorated in a lovely smart way, very clean, nice ambience. Parking inside the premises.
Typical Mercure hotel but in a superb location on the river with indoor/outdoor pools and jacuzzi. Within easy walking distance of several restaurants and bars and also the centre of Dinan.
Clean and comfortable room with lots of character in a superb location. Had the best meal of our trip to France in the restaurant downstairs. Everything was perfect!
