The place was amazing. It was exactly what we were looking for. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We came around NYE and we hadn’t booked a place for dinner. On last minute notice, the hosts organized an amazing dinner at a fabulous restaurant for my friends and I. It was the best dining experience all of us had ever had. It really made our New Year’s Eve special. The hosts were very helpful in offering ideas on what to see and where to go. We definitely will be back.

nothing was said about having to climb long stairs to reach the hotel otherwise we would have packed lighter
the room was next to a freshly painted reception and our room was smelling of paint, the doors were not closing properly, TV not working

Lovely location, conveniently close to mont saint-Michel! Loved watching the sun going down from the garden. Kids (teens) loved the garden, and all the farm animals just next to hotel

Lovely B&B - the owner is very nice and helpful. She speaks perfect English - and they have a great little restaurant which has, quite possibly the best French fries in the world.

A night on Mont Saint Michel is a unique experience. Despite being a victim of its own success ravaged by mass tourism and greed, the Mont is still a truly magical place, and never more charming than in the early morning light, or in the evening after the crowds have left. Unfortunately, the exorbitant price tag of an overnight stay here seems to have less to do with the expenses of the upkeep of a medieval world heritage site and more with the near-monopoly of the Poulard group.
Book early to avoid disappointment (or even more over-inflated prices) and do not expect luxury. Our room was broadly adequate, if basic, rather small and cramped. Sound-proofing was non-existent (this is probably unavoidable as these are genuine medieval houses, but don’t forget the ear plugs). The bathroom was superficially clean, but not very. The mini bar was empty, the TV did not seem to be working properly. (No matter, who comes here to watch TV. Explore the ramparts, the abbey, take a guided walk through the quicksands of the bay, find a nice restaurant and watch the sun go down…)
A big point in favour was the perfectly nice little continental breakfast buffet (eggs, cereals, pastries, brioche, juice, bread and jam, lovely Normandy cheeses and ham, plus American-style pancakes) which is included.
