Loved the location, just short walk to slopes on skis.
Loved the facilities, especially restaurant, bar and access to ski hire within hotel.
All staff extremely helpful and would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay again if I returned to Flaine

Very funky place! The attention to detail is amazing. The karaoke was good fun, never done that before. Wonderful cocktails .
We had two interconnected rooms which gave us a great space.
Location is spot on. The town was a little quiet but it’s very close to the end of the season.

The hotel feels fresh and new and the facilities are well maintained. The SPA is well equipped but when you've got young kids running around its not very relaxing. The hotel hosts a jazz / live performance once a week which is lovely. The Ski room is first class. There is also a cinema room which you can book and that's a massive bonus.
Featuring a sauna and a swimming pool that is open during summer, this residence is located 15 km from Cluses Train Station. It offers suites and free Wi-Fi access is provided in public areas.

Good location close to telecabine and not too far to walk into the centre. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Perfect for quick weekend trip away.
This eco-friendly chalet-style hotel is located in the heart of the Les Carroz d’Araches ski resort. It offers mountain views and fine dining just 500 metres from the ski slopes.

Rooms were lovely and spacious, nice decor. Extra plug in radiator to dry ski gear was a nice touch. View was fantastic.

Flaine is excellent for skiing, especially for beginners.
Flaine is excellent for skiing, especially for beginners. It is high so you are relatively guaranteed snow, when lower resorts are still green. Although it is pretty ugly, it is purpose built so everything is well set up for families or beginners to commence their skiing journey

We have visited Flaine many times over the years, and despite the brutalist concrete architecture we have always felt the resort has a warm and cosy vibe. It is perfect for mixed ability groups, with virtually all the mountain restaurants easy to get to - and it is a good place to learn (several members of our family took to skis or boards for the first time there).
The Flaine pistes are pretty easy to navigate (not too much peering at maps and wondering where you are), and if you fancy a change of scenery and some tree-lined runs then if you have the Grand Massif pass you can ski down to Les Carroz or Samoens.
The transfer time is perfect too: about 1hr 15 from Geneva so great if you are planning a short break or long weekend.

Lovely Ski Resort.
Lovely Ski Resort. Great variety of ski runs and pistes were groomed overnight. We stayed in Flaine Forum at Residence Alhena which was superb with easy access to the pistes. Great restaurants on the mountain as well as at Flaine Forum. Flew to Geneva and transfer time was about 1 Hour and 30 minutes. We prefer short transfers as a family especially when you are travelling with young children.

Far away from the hustle and bustle, Flaine offers a lot for the avid hiker and winter sports enthusiast. In addition to the somewhat more popular Chamonix, Flaine, Les Carroz and Arâches-la-Frasse offer a range of possibilities. From small, beautiful shops with local specialties, to bakers and butchers, restaurants, bars and rental of bicycles and skis. With the mountains at your feet, you imagine yourself in an oasis of peace.

Unless you love brutal concrete architecture then you will find Flaine ugly - you need to look beyond the buildings!
What has drawn us back over the years is convenience of the resort, the range of slopes, and the proximity to Geneva airport. Whenever we are in a mixed ski group (one of our party was a complete beginner), it is hard to find a better base. The variety of slopes meant that all of us were able to enjoy the ski-ing yet easily meet up for drinks or lunch on the slope as Flaine is so easy to navigate and has slopes for everyone.
Having self-catered in the past we booked rooms at the Totem Hotel this time - and absolutely loved it! Not sure we will return to an apartment after having been spoilt on this trip.
We might go for a palette-cleansing few days to a pretty Austrian resort next year (and probably moan about having to catch a bus or use t-bar lifts)......but I'm sure we will be back to Flaine at some point!

Flaine was great for our family ski holiday.
Flaine was great for our family ski holiday. Plenty of lovely blue slopes - perfect for our ability. Lots of cafes and restaurants at the foot of the mountain and places to refresh on the slopes. Lifts hardly had queues. Our hotel had half board so we didnt eat out much, other than refreshments. The resort is small, but has enough to entertain for the week. Lots of ski school options, easy to walk around and everyone seemed really friendly.
This hotel was incredibly clean and spacious with facilities for everyone. The staff were very helpful and we were able to order baguettes and pasteries at 6 pm for the next morning. The ski in ski out was fabulous and the ski shop and mini mart being in the same building with the esf lessons office was super convenient.
I booked a spa/massage for my wife and she was very impressed with the quality of the masseuse and wellness rooms/sauna/Hammam rooms. I took my daughter to the pool and spa area which were well equipped.
The process for getting the keys and returning the keys is poor. The apartment is in Flaine Foret, the office is in Forum. We needed to take the luggage with us all day as we could not get an early check in. Also returning the key at 6am in the morning before we left was very inconvenient!!
A lock box with a key code on site would be much better
rooms are really nice, water kettle, coffee machine, separate sitting area from beds.
pool was nice, kids enjoyed it!
central heating in the rooms, with 2 thermometers.
location is great for proximity to ski hill.
no problem for staff to hold our bags in secure room while we skied after checkout.
restaurants were excellent as well.

Stylish interior, everything is very convenient and clean, spa is nice and relaxing, easy access from the room, hotel location is incredible with amazing view on the mountain, lift to go up to see Monte Bianco is very close to the entrance of hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff.
the facilities were lovely. we had a steam & cold plunge pool 2 -3 sessions every day after skiing which was amazing. foor was great although not cheap. avoid the restaurant food at the top of the main lift Planiere. the food was awful but great for a drink
Great location in Flaine, short walk to the slopes and shops. Nice and quiet and clean. Good contact prior to arrival, easy to arrive late at night, and nice touch of coffee pods and prosecco to welcome us. Spacious living room and well equipped kitchen.
Excellent location. Fab little first floor apartment with everything you could need. Lots of storage. Really convenient for ski lifts and passenger lift down to Flaine Forum. Spar shop, ski hire and Boulangerie 5 mins walk.
Amazing views from balcony.
Location great, be wary of where you stay the hotel is split into 3 separate buildings, block A you need to walk up an icey path to external lift that breaks down a lot. Block B same but not as bad. Main hotel is probably the best option
We ate out and had some nice food of an evening down in Flaine Forum
Our apartment had a great view
We were super close to the slope - within walking distance (in ski boots!)
Loved the hot tub and sauna and chatting to other guests.
Lots for the kids to do in the hotel when we met with friends for drinks at the bar. Liked having a kitchen and the room was really well thought out, lots of storage. very helpful staff, good internet, great central location.
The location is perfect, right next to the gondola and ski lifts and the building is newly renovated. There was a ski locker room in the building which was great.
