This is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff are professional and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, and with nice views. Dogs are allowed in the rooms but not restaurants, so we had room service. There is electric car charging and it’s an hour from the Eurotunnel, which is convenient.

A convenient place close to the English Channel for a stopover. Also close to the battle fields of World War One for those wanting to visit that area. The hotel, La Chatreuse du Val Esprit offers a range of good restaurants for residents and non-residents. Close to the motorway but not too close.
This was the 3rd time we have been to the hotel, and we think it's great. There is a choice of 3 restaurants...all different with regard to price. The rooms fit into the ambience of the hotel and are sumptuous (however the room this time was not as good as previous visits). The bar is superb and all very comfortable. The grounds are excellent, we have two dogs, ideal for those guys! Ideal for an overnight stay before an early crossing from Calais.
The reason we booked this place is because an on site restaurant was open on the Sunday evening. Our room was amazing value for money, massive room clean and tidy with a large en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The WC was separate. Very comfy bed with fresh sheets and towels and a well stocked mini bar. I have already booked again for our next trip in a couple of weeks.
Beautiful historical building in the middle of the French countryside. Wonderful location. The overnight in a place so old and rich of history is exciting and really different to a classic business hotel. Anyhow, wi-fi works well, and the bed is smart and comfortable.
A beautiful park and three nice restaurants complete the court.
We have stayed at this hotel many times whist travelling to and from the south of France. The hotel has remained very dependable with a choice of restaurants and good food, pleasant rooms and an attentive staff. The gardens are well worth visit. The hotel is well placed close to the A26 motorway but not too close.
The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the A26 and easy to find. The staff were welcoming and explained the history of the buildings to us. The rooms are large and the bathrooms very good. A good breakfast is offered and we will be using this hotel again!
This old chateau has been tastefully turned into a fabulous hotel set in gorgeous grounds. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We were traveling south through France and this was the perfect overnight stop to begin our holiday.
Always a pleasant stay in this hotel. The prestige queen rooms are very spacious and well fitted out. The Distillerie restaurant is very nice with good food and lovely staff. Shame the Vasco restaurant is nothing like as good.
Excellent service and great position if you are heading to (or driving from) Calais. Staff very polite and the structure is phenomenal . Rooms are spacious and the park surrounding the hotel/castle is fantastic.
The hotel was excellent with fantastic facilities
Parking brilliant and safe
Choice of 3 top of the range restaurants
The park and garden were excellent
