Centre Ville and le Lac are nice.
Centre Ville and le Lac are nice. It was very very quiet with not many places open to eat for the second week in April. It would be a great place to cycle around if the weather was not so bad. The preference is Biarittz.

We liked the ocean beaches best.
We liked the ocean beaches best. Super for surfing, walking, running or lounging.
Hossegor is very cyclist and pedestrian friendly and we never used the car once. There are some very pleasant trails around the lake and along the canal.
Hossegor centre is bustling with a melange of shops which will suit most pockets but the trend does seem upmarket - how many people can buy shoes for 600€??
The town has a nice vibe to it and there are many restaurants and bars serving a variety of food which caters to all tastes including vegetarians but some are a bit pricey. There are also bars down on Plage Centrale offering good meals if you are surfing or enjoying the beach.
No shortage of surf clubs for rental and tuition plus you can rent paddle boards, windsurfers and catamarans on the lake.
We came in late October when the weather was still warm enough to bathe and it was fairly quiet.

Hossegor is a treasure, a relaxing beach town on the Atlantic coast. A cross between '70s So. Cal beaches (clean, laid-back vibe) with a touch of Hamptons sophistication. Outdoor activities range from surfing, bike riding, SUP on the lake, hiking, golfing, etc. Culinary heaven: Les Halles, the summer food market, a wide-range of restaurants (cuisines & prices). Easy to drive and explore the Basque country, San Sebastián and the Landes coast. We are elated we stumbled upon Hossegor, we will continue to vacation in this lovely town.

Really nice beach and the inlet behind the sand dunes made for a nice walk. The houses in amongst the pines were really pretty. You can hire electric bikes with fat wheels in Capbreton.
Swimming in the sea isn't for the faint of heart though.

Hossegor is an awesome place to visit.
Hossegor is an awesome place to visit. I've been going there since back 2013 and I am just in love of the place.
You can do sport, shop, dine, go to the beach, surf.....
It's one of my favorite places in the world.
This appartement is very close to the shops and restaurants of hossegor … and the lake beach ( further to the surf beach). Parking is free and secure with no height restriction. The appartement is advertised as a studio for up to 4 so it is small but very well designed I felt to make most of space. Great kitchen equipment for a small studio. Private balcony ilia like an extra room where you can sit and eat. It presented as very well cleaned.
I pretty much liked everything in the hotel. I had an excellent stay, with a special mention to the kindness of the whole staff. Very professional, courteous, more than willing to help and extremely friendly. I also very much liked the decoration of the hotel and in particular the bar/lobby, the "bird candles" on the tables and the rest.
We stayed at Hotel Logis Lacotel for one night and that was certainly too short. A good hotel with a comfortable and spacious bed, nice balcony with a beautiful view and right at the beach at the lake and 10-15 min walking from the Atlantic ocean beach. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant very good.
Hotel is in a great location, by a lake and with restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our room was generous in size, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was well worth the money. If you are lucky you can park for free right outside the hotel.
I can recommend this place to every one.
The rooms are nice and spacious and have everything you need.
The location is also very good. Close to Hossegor, Capbreton, The Lake...
The hosts are very friendly people, eager to help when needed.
Lovely wooded setting, swimming pool and sundeck, comfortable family room, breakfast in the mornings can be taken outside. Relaxed and friendly environment. Proximity to the lake and beach, all on foot.
Beautiful hotel practically on the beach. The beds were brand new and very comfortable. Lovely owners that helped us when the battery of our car was dead. Would definitely visit this place again!
Fantastic property! On-site parking (call ahead to get a spot). Right on the water, very comfortable beds amd amazingly nice staff.
I was there for a wedding, it was a great place to stay.
Loved this hotel and it’s great position on the lac ! Beautiful… breakfast also very good shame they didn’t do dinner as found it difficult to locate a good restaurant nearby !
The location was perfect. Close to beach and restaurants. 10 min walk to the town centre and supermarket. Double bed was comfortable. wifi just ok … slow but could stream.
This hotel is perfectly located in Hossegor outside beach La Nord. Also restaurant La Nord I would highly recommend. A few restaurants you can walk to as well.
Mercedes Hotel is located in central downtown Hossegor. Once you arrive, there is no need for you to use the car.
