Great location for seeing all of the DDay beaches.

Great location for seeing all of the DDay beaches. Just 5 miles from Bayeux which is a must to visit. There are lots of cycle routes, walks, and bunkers to see in Longues-sur-Mer itself. There is one local shop for essentials but for a full shop you will need a car. We visited at the end of August and it was very quiet so there was no problem finding places to park (all free!) and eat. Obviously visiting around June 6th would be like a different world but I'm sure the atmosphere and sense of occasion is worth it.

It’s a so quiet. I’m a light sleeper and I ‘m always on the lookout for Hotels that can deliver when it comes to soundproofing or just an environment without noise. This is the place for a good night sleep!!
