Bad bad breakfast. Poor breakfast. I couldn't imagine we were charged for that pretending breakfast. 8€ per person? That's was scandalous. No fresh fruit whatsoever.

Staff very welcoming and friendly.The location was in an industrial zone, quiet, not far from the town centre and for the price and staying over night it was perfect for us. The afternoon hotel receptionist suggested also a brasserie to go for dinner just 5 minutes away. Really good advice, also friendly place and lovely. I would recommend the place

keeping in mind that the stay was 30€, could not have asked for more, as we were travelling by car and very tired, we tried finding somewhere available in the late afternoon near the road we were on. staff was very friendly, we don’t speak french and understand very very little but the receptionist was very understanding and tried his best explaining everything in English. Bedroom was small, with a shower and toilet in the same space, (we thought we had shared bathroom but to our surprise we had a shower in the bedroom which was nice) the bed was very comfortable and no noise so we were able to sleep very well.

Chateau de Matel is in a castle surrounded by a 13-hectare park with a swimming pool and pond. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Nice location and a charming old building with an amiable host. Ensure your are up for a good walk through many corridors and several flights of wonky (characterful) stairs to your room! Nice swimming pool and lovely view over the grounds.

Good location. Quite a bit of construction in the area but no fault to the property. Had a slight problem finding the lock box in a darkened hall but owner was very helpful on the phone and guided us. Beautiful area with many parks and open space
