The hotel was charming with a lovely outside garden area. The staff are very accommodating and we enjoyed an evening meal there. We would return again.

Great little flat in a lovely town. We just wanted a base to explore Cave Art in the Vezere Valley. It was ideal and we wished we gad booked for longer. Diane and Emmanuelle were full of information and help. The shared kitchen worked well for us and the other couples staying there were very quiet and friendly.

Everything was super! It was comfortable, lovely and warm and very well equipped . It is located in a super position in walking distance to the town and Lascaux. It was a perfect base for my family. We were warmly welcomed by our lovely hosts who made our stay extra special. We would definitely go back!

This property was not my usual type. However, when you are there to see the ancient Lascaux Caves, I decided that "Glamping" was the way to go. Being in the woods looking at the sky from the panels in the dome tent was wonderful. I was able to imagine the past! Nathalie was an excellent hostess. I decided to add breakfast and it was wonderful and delivered to my Dome!

Lucie and Rahno are excellent hosts.
Their farm is a little gem , a little oasis to return to after a busy day. We loved the pool which we often had to ourselves.
Our room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable.
Fresh local produce for breakfast.
We would highly recommend.

You need a car, but parking isn‘t easy. Unfortunately, I wasn‘t prepared, so I had to scout things out. Because my days were filled, I often left too early or came back too late to enjoy all the opportunities available.

Montignac is a pretty small town with a good range of resto’s and bars, as well as a small supermarket. It’s very attractive with some preserved buildings from the late medieval period and a wide range from the 17th to 19th century. There’s a canoe hire place in the town too. Overall a well rounded small town.

Medieval small town situated on a river. Canoes available for hire. Quaint shops and walks along the riverbank. Plenty of good eateries and coffee shops. Excellent accommodation centrally located too.

Beautiful old very French village with butcher, patisserie, tea shop with chocolates, lovely restaurants riverside, Good tourism bureau for maps, sites, etc. Good parking facilities. Easy to navigate tho narrow streets. I found it more to my liking than Sarlat which is larger and more commercial, but with more choices and a more beautiful old quarter.
I did the walking tour of Montignac which we very interesting. Montignac is home to that Hotel Rosarie, very upscale. So easy to travel to all the villages along the Dordogne. Directions are impeccable.

Montignac is too often seen as just the gateway to the Lascaux caves. It has its own particular charms. The River Vezere is beautiful and the riverside cafes and restaurants are delightful. People are friendly and welcoming. This is true at all times of the year. Visit in autumn or spring when the place is not crowded and there is more time to explore.
Quiet rural location. Friendly helpful welcome. Comfortable accommodation with good WiFi. Good value for money. The property has a private swimming pool but this is of modest size so for adults more for cooling off rather than actual swimming. Good sized rooms but note that the second bedroom has no window, is accessed through the first and is only separated by a curtain. The property is some distance from Montignac up steep hills so transport essential.
Great location in town. Could walk everywhere. Nice longer walk to Lascaux IV. The place was immaculate. Having a well equipped shared kitchen was very useful. Our host was delightful. She provided useful information and we were able to visit her unique art gallery downstairs. A perfect stay. Although there was no parking associated with the property, the room is directly facing a square with lots of free parking. We were always able to get a space.
The hotel is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos, the rooms are beautifully designed and the views from each window are stunning. The staff looked after us so well, especially testing for them with our two noisy kids and covid restrictions. The food is delicious - both the breakfasts in the courtyard and dinners. We'd definitely recommend for family or adult holiday. Thank you for spoiling us so much!
This is not a hotel for a couple. The small apartment was full of bedrooms and beds upstairs, and the toilette was downstairs. Not very comfortable. There was no privacy as all the outside areas were all connected. We arrived on the 14th of July and there was no soap and very little toilette paper. As it was a holiday, everything was shut! Extremely annoying! Too expensive for what we got!
Fantastic! Loved this little 'hotel'. One of the loveliest places I've stayed and would definitely stay again. Beautifully kept rooms and bathrooms, and having a kitchen was a brilliant additional bonus so we could sit and eat breakfast together and buy food from the local shops and market every morning. Addition of fans to the rooms was very much appreciated in the hot weather!!
terrific location in a tiny medieval village walking distance to Montignac, a large town with fantastic architecture from medieval period but with all the convenience needed, grocery stores, restaurances, wonderful views of the Vesere river, and most of all close to the Lascaux caves, a fabulous walk back 28,000 years ago, cave paintings by Cro Magnon Man
The people from hotel was very friendly and helpful. So was also my late arriving no problem!
I am a vegan and they were very concerned, that I get enough to eat.
A wonderful place near the prehistoric caves, very lovingly furnished and looked after by two very caring and attentive hosts! Thank you very much and I would love to come back!
The property is old but very cosy. It is located really near the center of Montignac.
Even though the streets are narrow and if it's difficult to circulate and park in front, it appears easy to find free parking spots at a short walking distance (3 min).
The kitchen is well equipped and every appliance we used worked just fine.
Everything !!! Lovely peaceful location, by the river. Room was excellent in this lovely historic house. Food was fantastic, more 5 star City hotel than country retreat. Service wonderful. My car broke down and they even helped be start up again so we could continue our holiday. We will go back without hesitation
First thing to say was we revived a very warm and friendly welcome from Alexandre. The house is in perfect condition, everything is new and the location is amazing right in the centre of Montignac. Though we went as a couple, the house is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a family.
Beautiful historic property. But their personnel is what made it special. My car was backed into while at the hotel, and their employees helped coordinate and take care of the entire situation with the other driver. We were speaking three different languages to make it work.
It's a nice and cosy little place. The room was very comfy, clean and spacious with all the amenities included. There was parking nearby. Had a very good stay. Would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Lascaux. It takes just a short walk to reach the Lascaux IV.
Beautiful hotel with huge amazing grounds and lovely pool. Katia is a wonderful friendly hostess, we loved our room - Little Artist - with its flow of fresh air and flock of doves outside.
Charming farm house. Perfect location for visiting Lascox place. There is an excellent restaurant that belongs to the hotel. The food was fantastic and the prices are very reasonable.
The staff welcomed us like family. The breakfast was excellent. It had plenty for two cyclists. They also stored our bags while we toured Lascaux 2. This was very much appreciated.
Ferme des petites Oreilles was fantastic, really idyllic. Lovely ancient building, even lovelier people and animals, great countryside and pool, near Montignac. Superb!
