The hotel was charming with a lovely outside garden area. The staff are very accommodating and we enjoyed an evening meal there. We would return again.

Great little flat in a lovely town. We just wanted a base to explore Cave Art in the Vezere Valley. It was ideal and we wished we gad booked for longer. Diane and Emmanuelle were full of information and help. The shared kitchen worked well for us and the other couples staying there were very quiet and friendly.

Located in the countryside off the road before you reach Montignac, this is a charming residence in traditional style with very welcoming hosts. Parking outside under the trees. Our room was ample and comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast in the downstairs room. Delightful environment. Would definitely stay here again. It’s the kind of place one doesn’t want to leave.

This property was not my usual type. However, when you are there to see the ancient Lascaux Caves, I decided that "Glamping" was the way to go. Being in the woods looking at the sky from the panels in the dome tent was wonderful. I was able to imagine the past! Nathalie was an excellent hostess. I decided to add breakfast and it was wonderful and delivered to my Dome!

You need a car, but parking isn‘t easy. Unfortunately, I wasn‘t prepared, so I had to scout things out. Because my days were filled, I often left too early or came back too late to enjoy all the opportunities available.

Montignac is a pretty small town with a good range of resto’s and bars, as well as a small supermarket. It’s very attractive with some preserved buildings from the late medieval period and a wide range from the 17th to 19th century. There’s a canoe hire place in the town too. Overall a well rounded small town.

Beautiful old very French village with butcher, patisserie, tea shop with chocolates, lovely restaurants riverside, Good tourism bureau for maps, sites, etc. Good parking facilities. Easy to navigate tho narrow streets. I found it more to my liking than Sarlat which is larger and more commercial, but with more choices and a more beautiful old quarter.
I did the walking tour of Montignac which we very interesting. Montignac is home to that Hotel Rosarie, very upscale. So easy to travel to all the villages along the Dordogne. Directions are impeccable.

Montignac is too often seen as just the gateway to the Lascaux caves. It has its own particular charms. The River Vezere is beautiful and the riverside cafes and restaurants are delightful. People are friendly and welcoming. This is true at all times of the year. Visit in autumn or spring when the place is not crowded and there is more time to explore.
Lydie the proprietress was so friendly and accommodating. We had been traveling all day when we finally arrived and decided to eat at the hotel. What delicious food! The cabicou salad was the best goat cheese salad I have eaten and the duck breast done to perfection. Breakfast was outstanding with scrambled eggs to order that were so tasty.
It was an easy walk to the Lascaux caves which we came to visit. Although our room overlooked the main road it was very quiet!
Very good communication with the owner who contacted us and met us at the property on our arrival. It was extremely clean with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom and had all we needed for our 5 day stay it was a mix of modern with traditional stone and fireplace. It was in a very quiet area and we heard no noise from near by properties but central for the river, bars and shops. Montignac is truly stunning location and would love to return.
Our suite had an airy, roomy bedroom and a charming common kitchen where free coffee, tea, and cookies were offered. The host, Diane, was very friendly and accommodating. The owners charge a modest fee per night, which goes towards supporting art shows in the gallery below. Montignac-Lascaux is a pretty little town close to important archeological sites and lovely châteaux. We loved canoeing down the river.
This is not a hotel for a couple. The small apartment was full of bedrooms and beds upstairs, and the toilette was downstairs. Not very comfortable. There was no privacy as all the outside areas were all connected. We arrived on the 14th of July and there was no soap and very little toilette paper. As it was a holiday, everything was shut! Extremely annoying! Too expensive for what we got!
terrific location in a tiny medieval village walking distance to Montignac, a large town with fantastic architecture from medieval period but with all the convenience needed, grocery stores, restaurances, wonderful views of the Vesere river, and most of all close to the Lascaux caves, a fabulous walk back 28,000 years ago, cave paintings by Cro Magnon Man
The property is old but very cosy. It is located really near the center of Montignac.
Even though the streets are narrow and if it's difficult to circulate and park in front, it appears easy to find free parking spots at a short walking distance (3 min).
The kitchen is well equipped and every appliance we used worked just fine.
Amazing hostess, who spoke enough English for us to get by with our pitiful French. A great place to visit the Lascaux caves. Nice French continental breakfast and a cordon bleau dinner. The chef must be really top notch to produce food like that. A small family friendly hotel- as good as it gets.
The owner of this hotel is very nice. He is secialized in prehistoric archaeology. So, when I consult about cave arts, he taught me a lot of knowledge and helped me to go to a cave.
The rood was clean enogh.
In the hotel, there is no wifi but he took me to another place which has wifi
It's a nice and cosy little place. The room was very comfy, clean and spacious with all the amenities included. There was parking nearby. Had a very good stay. Would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Lascaux. It takes just a short walk to reach the Lascaux IV.
Where do I start. At the top of the valley overlooking Montignac- the most incredibly beautiful view!!! Property is a studio apartment so well appointed with the most fabulous host who will do anything to help. Pool, hot tub so many extras you won’t believe it!!
Central location in beautiful little medieval square. Villa well preserved with original features. Spacious and cool. Hotel pool and garden very special. Never crowded and very peaceful. Owners always at hand to assist. Dinner in hotel was fantastic.
Lots to recommend this wonderful hotel, including its great charm and idyllic location. But hands down the best thing was the staff. Everyone was exceptional - they couldn’t have been warmer or more helpful. We look forward to coming back again soon.
We stayed in Montignac for a wedding so had no idea what the place would be like, the hotel was stunning and staff couldn’t do enough for us! It was a quiet contrast to the wedding and provided a comfortable and luxurious space.
The staff are fine, the food is good the pool and surrounding gardens are lovely. The food is good in the Bistro the staff accommodating and pleasant. The hotel and staff are fully Covid compliant.
Beautiful hotel with huge amazing grounds and lovely pool. Katia is a wonderful friendly hostess, we loved our room - Little Artist - with its flow of fresh air and flock of doves outside.
Ferme des petites Oreilles was fantastic, really idyllic. Lovely ancient building, even lovelier people and animals, great countryside and pool, near Montignac. Superb!
