Everything, the property is full or character. It’s peaceful and tranquil. The pool table and football table was great fun. Celeste and Patrick are fantastic hosts and oh my god the food!!! Everything is homemade, we have not stopped talking amazing it all was. If you want to get a real authentic taste of France it won’t get any better than this . Our daughter has autism and they made special request for her with no problem at all. Can’t recommend highly enough

What a beautiful location. The owners were so lovely.
The gite was warm and extremely clean and has been fitted out with very good quality furniture. The bed and pillows were so comfortable !
Plus I had fresh bread and croissants delivered to my doorstep in the morning by the lovely owners .
Thank you very much .

Cannot rate this high enough. Carol & Steve are fantastic hosts, really went the extra mile to make sure we were looked after. Location is stunning, there wasn’t a sound to be heard except for birds! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, honestly 11/10.

We were attending a family Wedding in Mortain so were not really looking for tourist type holiday. We have been to Mortain for several years and it has really grown on us. Just across the road from the hotel is a very good bakery and this time we found a Kebab shop open on Sunday evening when many other places are closed. As we have an electric car we were delighted to find a charging point. Other members of our family stayed in a large Gite which was charming and we spent quite a bit of time. The small Saturday food market was very good too. We liked having Carrefour nearby.
A beautifully restored Hotel, with a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. we were honeymooning, and they had done so many romantic touches for us. In the evening they provided us with blankets outside to keep us warm, while we enjoyed the magnificent views. The food was exceptional as well, our compliments went to the chef!
Highly recommended. We will stay again without hesitation.
Really nice town the hotel is located in. We had amazing view from our 2nd floor window to valley below. Nice inside safe space to store our two bikes. Great value for money and dinner was excellent, and good value. The owner is very welcoming in English... or French language.
. .This old hotel is in the process of major renovation by the new owners... I think that soon it will be really excellent. Lovely dining room and good Dinner. We will stay there again. Very best wishes to the new Team!
very dated and worn. No drink or food available on Friday evening ( that was the reason I booked the hotel as wanted to have a drink and meal that evening). We were told that the food will be served on Saturday.
Although not very big our room was comfortable and suited our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. We like the ambience of the Hotel but felt with more investment could be made a lot better.
