Incredibly special property just opened. The care with which the building and rooms have been restored and furnished is literally breathtaking. The two owners (and two gorgeous retrievers) are the perfect hosts and could not do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. We ate dinner at the chateau (castle?) both nights which was fantastic. Option to cycle, hike, fish so plenty to do for 3+ nights.
L'auberge De Thenay has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Thenay. Located around 28 km from Val de l'Indre Golf Course, the hostel with free WiFi is also 47 km away from Le Roc aux Sorciers.

Very welcoming host, large room, bed and bathroom. Easy parking and good access to the autoroute. The evening meal was very good but maybe a little expensive.
It is a useful overnight stop from Calais to the south coast and a nice change from the usual chain hotels.
This holiday village is located a 5-minute walk to the town centre of St Gaultier. It offers fully equipped chalets with private terraces, and a heated swimming pool.

The staff and the other people on the campsite were very friendly. A wonderful place for natural beauty, wildlife, the beautiful river. I could park right next to the tent with w.c., showers and washing facilities close to hand. My meal at the restaurant in the evening was really delicious and fairly priced.
A great place for walking and cycling with the beautiful medieval architecture of the nearby town very picturesque too.
There is also a swimming pool.

The hotel really exceeded our expectations. The host was extremely helpful and thoughtful, the room was lovely and the hotel grounds and views are exceptional. This is a really picturesque village with everything you would need, and the hotel is situated by a beautiful bit of the river. The garden and pool are are beautiful, the room had everything you would need. We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back! It's also very easy to get to by public transport, which was a plus for us.
