I booked the Globe on the road at the last moment, just looking for a bed for the night.
On arrival I was asked if I wanted dinner, so to make life easy I said yes, not expecting anything remarkable.
How wrong was I. From the moment I entered the restaurant the whole performance started.
The waiting staff are like theatre performers. Charming, knowledgable, with ballet like movement.
The food was quite exquisite. Fabulously presented with colour, form and textures. The flavours are astonishing and delicate.
In the end I had four courses including the “chariot de fromage”, everyone needs to experience that once in their life.
The meal cost the same as the room, but was possibly the best meal I have ever had and I would dare to suggest the Globe is a restaurant with a hotel attached.
