It's a cute town with vineyards all around. Nice property. Ofcourse it's not a luxury hotel but more of a bed and breakfast Pitstop. We did a over night as we were transiting to Germany from Switzerland.

Nicely decorated and the rooms are upstairs.
Although we felt bad bumping in in their living area, there was much space upstairs for us guests and even a lounge area in front of the room.
The private bathroom in the assigned room was modern, clean and well equipped.

Riquewihr, a small village in France, lacks public transport. However, its compact size makes it easily navigable on foot. For longer distances, consider renting a bicycle. If you're driving, park outside the village as the centre is pedestrianised. Remember, the village can be busy, so plan your visit accordingly.

One of my favorite villages in France!
One of my favorite villages in France! Easily walkable and gorgeous views. Great restaurants and street vendors, beautiful architecture, & friendly locals. Highly recommend burgers, tarte flambée, and drinks at Le Grognard. We also enjoyed a tasting at Dopff Winery.

A beautiful little town, very quaint and charming.
A beautiful little town, very quaint and charming. Numerous shops selling local products, including ceramics, glassware, textiles, food specialities, and of course wine. Good selection of restaurants in a range of price categories, from simple snacks and meals to Michelin-star fine dining. Lovely walking trails through the surrounding vineyards. A good base from which to explore neighboring villages, such as Ribeauville'.

A beautiful and cosy little town - quite a relief after the crowds and tourist stress in Colmar. On the other hand - for us was one day enough, or you should use Riquewihr as base to travel also to other towns in the region.

We were in Riquewihr for La Parade Venetienne (for the 3rd time). We had 2 diners : Au Cerf and La Grappe D'Or. The last one is to be commended.
Getting around in Riquewihr is easy because it is so compact and the different interesting sites are close to each other.

Riquewihr is stunning, if medieval buildings and cobbled streets, set on a fairly steep incline, are your thing. There are no supermarkets or places to buy tobacco products in the town, so a car is essential for those self-catering.
I wouldn't recommend for those with mobility problems, unless you have access to somewhere to keep the scooter, nor is it ideal for young kids or teenagers. Nearby Ribeavillé probably better. But if beautiful scenery, history & excellent food are what you want, go for it!.*
(*The butterfly garden on the road to Ribeauvillé (10 mins in the car) is well worth the €9 entrance fee.)
If you're feeling flush ( it is really pretty pricey!), but can't manage a trip to Kyoto, I can't recommend Au Trotthus highly enough. The Wagyu tasting menu was breathtaking, the setting gorgeous, the staff lovely, and the chef took time to come and speak to his patrons in a very informal, friendly way, explaining the dishes and his passion for all things Japanese. Also, you can dress to the 9s to eat there, but you don't HAVE to. Be comfortable!
Will we be back? In a heartbeat.
We stayed here for three nights with our two dogs. When we came we felt very welcome and the owner explained all the information related to the apartment. There was also a welcoming bottle of their own wine in the fridge, which was very nice. Our apartment was spacious and clean and included everything we needed.
The location is great. You can go to walk up to vineyards (which was great opportunity with dogs) and on the other hand there is only a few hundred meters to Riquewihr center and to all restaurants etc. We enjoyed our stay very much!
I stayed in this hotel many years ago, and there have been many improvements - indoor pool, spa, sauna, and a complete renovation of the restaurant and bar. We had a superior triple room, for two of us, and plenty of room to move around. Buffet breakfast was in accordance with Covid guidelines: we had our own serving tongs, fruits and yoghourts were in individual pots, tables were well separated, and everyone had to wear a mask when moving around. Also, there were bottles of antiseptic gel all over the place.
This hotel is in an old building right next to the main street of Riquewihr - so a very central location. Our room was fine with a new and nice bathroom. We had to climb some stairs to get to the room, but we knew that in advance from the description of the hotel.
We bought the buffet breakfast at the hotel and that was very good. The parking was very conveniently next to the hotel, and they informed us well in advance about how to get to the parking lot.
Breakfast was at a common table with other guests. That is a nice touch and allows for discussion of each other's travel experiences. This guest house is a bit hard to find, depending on your GPS, but it ideally located. It is in a very quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the city gate. It has a private parking lot and extremely nice rooms. The host is helpful with his ranking of local restaurants and an offer to call for a reservation if requested.
THE WORST BOOKING EXPERIENCE EVER - WE DIDN'T GET IN THE APARTMENT! We called the host, but we couldn't reach them, we sent multiple emails, no answer. They didn't even bother if we could get in the flat. They didn't leave us the code to get the keys out of the security box. Also, the host didn't reach out to us afterward with an apology, I am writing this 3 days after the planned stay.
The location is very nice, within walking distance from the lovely village Riquewihr. A must see!
Private parking space, safe and free of charge. The hosts are very hospital and kind. We felt at home instantly. Beautiful terrace, overlooking the hills, where breakfast is served. We would definitely recommend this place. Pity that we only spent 1 night there on our way to Switzerland.
Hotel Au Cerf was so great. The location was perfect, right on the main street. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were able to put our rooms right next door to each other. They accommodated our dog which was awesome as we were travelling with her for the first time. The restaurant had amazing food! We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were very good!!
This is really The Place to be in Riquewihr, iconic tiny town in wine-producing region of France. Old, perfectly renovated house with guest rooms is situated “intra muros”, 50 m from the main street. Lovely decor, delicious French-style breakfast and very helpful and warm owners. We will be back!
Great hotel with fantastic location. Parking is gated and convenient. Room is well decorated, charming, and comfortable. Shower was big and water pressure solid. Staff was accommodating and polite. Morning breakfast in the courtyard was a relaxing start to the day.
The location was wonderful! We spent the day walking and shopping the streets and bringing back all the things we bought. The space was large and easily fit our family. Parking was very easy and close by.
The location for visiting all of the villages in the area was fantastic. The Gite is beautiful and absolutely spotless. It is beautifully decorated, and well supplied with anything you might need.
The accomodation was pleasant and the breakfast, bountiful! The cheery owner, who didn't speak English, went out of her way to welcome us. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom.
Great, modern rooms in recently renovated buildings. Very comfortable beds and a helpful parking nearby (need to reserve it with the hotel). Would certainly book it again.
