Hôtel de l'Europe, hotel in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

Situated in 12km from Sybelles ski resort, Hôtel de l'Europe offers free Wi-Fi throughout, secure parking for bikes, a restaurant and a bar, ski storage facilities and a laundry service.

The staff was very friendly, we were to late for the check in time. And together with the staff a solution was found so we could still sleep in the hotel. They were thoughtful and really nice. The room was also very clean. And the beds were comfy. The only downside is that the pillows are a bit firm. I enjoyed my stay even though it was just fot one night. The parking area disclosed from the road is also really nice.

Best Western Hotel Coeur de Maurienne, hotel in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

Situated in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, within 14 km of Les Sybelles and 19 km of Croix de Fer, Best Western Hotel Coeur de Maurienne provides a bar.

New hotel, very clean and modern. Easy access from the road and my motivation was to ski at the 3 Vallees. I drove every morning to the Orelle ski lift (17min away and parking next to the lift - but you have to be early to park next to lift). In the evening I had dinner at the town, which is actually a nice small town with very small pedestrian area as well. I loved the breakfast - special bonus to have a fresh juice making capability from the oranges. I am also tracking capability to charge EVs. This was super well arranged here. There was a normal charging station and Tesla charging. I saw them mostly as available. Only one car occasionally charging.

Saint Antoine en montagne, hotel in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

Featuring accommodation with a terrace, Saint Antoine en montagne is located in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge.

Great location in the centre of the upper town close to the shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The hosts are also super helpful if there are problems. The apartment is spacious with good internet and there is an enormous patio. There is a "first come, first served" parking place behind the building and on this occasion I was the first, a very convenient spot.

Perfect town to base yourself for cycling many bucket list climbs though a car is handy to drive to Aple d'Huez and Bessens for other climbs. Still don't get why France shuts down from 12.30 on a Sunday as there are so many good restaurants but not opened when really needed. We really rate the local Indochina restaurant - food superb and cheap.

A small working town with limited tourism influence.

A small working town with limited tourism influence. There is a lot of industry in this area, but this is overshadowed by the beauty of the natural surroundings, so much so you can almost forget it is there. The surrounding areas are a haven for cycling enthusiasts with many many iconic climbs to test your stamina.

Really nice hotel in town - despite it being a scorching hot day, the aircon was brilliant, the beds comfortable and the shower great in the morning (perhaps a little more water pressure would be nice, but that is a super small point). The manager in reception was really friendly and made check in and check out very easy. Given that we only stayed one night to drive down to Italy, this was a perfect stopping off point for the night, especially as the town is very pretty at the foot of the Alps.

Laurie’s place was perfect for our 6 nights in Saint Jean de Maurienne as a base for cycling in the area. We had a secure place to keep our bicycles, the apartment was very clean and very well appointed. We were able to cook and were able to wash and dry our clothes. Although not in a picturesque area of the town, it was very quiet and we enjoyed the open space around the apartment. it was easy for us to walk to the town and to the supermarket and bike shop.

I was on a cycling holiday so this is a great town to stay in with many classic Cols nearby. Great location in the town, close to restaurants and supermarket. Good room, clean, tidy, functional, fridge / mini bar, kettle, air con. Quiet at night and all very good. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel - had porridge in my room instead. Parking good, bike store good and secure with bike racks.

The hotel is beautifully positioned for the ferry. Breakfast is served early so there is no problem making the early sailing. The rooms are comfortable (although I wish they wouldn't call them cabins!) albeit very small. The facilities are well thought out and the breakfast was excellent.

Friendly, helpful staff. The location is great for walking into town. Ample parking behind the hotel, The food is basic but nothing was too much trouble. My son is vegetarian and although there was nothing vegetarian on the menu an omelette was rustled up willingly.
