We booked this hotel because we were stuck at Basel airport due to a car hire issue. I looked up options on booking.com with filters, this place looked very nice, but we didn't realise it also had an excellent restaurant and the friendliest staff. The whole thing made a bad situation into something really delightful and we can't believe our luck.

I liked that it was very closed to Basel, Strasbourg, Colmar...
I liked that it was very closed to Basel, Strasbourg, Colmar,, Bern and Freiburg, wich me and my family had visited with a hired car. I did not liked the noise in the nights, form the airplanes (the airport is also near), but I still have slept ok.

I'm not a lover of big cities in any case. This place may be strategically located for the airport, but the area seems very impersonal - all high-rise apartment blocks with no character. I would avoid this area in the future, however. Saint-Louis itself does not have much to offer but the city is only a short distance by bus and tram to nearby Basel (a more expensive place to stay). It is also much closer than Mulhouse to the Basel-Mulhouse airport.

Great bakers & good range of takeaway restaurants 5 mins walk.. Aoartment block really quiet, but area nearby busy as any city with some infrequent train and airport noise.- but only during the day. Access to city centre very easy for both car and public transport. A quiet little town just a short walk from the main event -Basel! Watch out for Taxi fares, if possible get a French one, the Swiss ones will double it. better still take the bus really cheap always on time! In short very expensive compared to the UK but well worth going to see.

Affordable price and location was convenient: due to COVID19 restrictions in Swiss we didn't want to stay in Base and this Hotel is walking distance from the border which you can also cross walking. Then there is a Tram that takes you to Basel city center. As we stayed there on weekend, it was possible to park for free in the street in front of hotel. Aslo there was free tea and croissants :) We were hungry from the trip and that was very pleasant

They were very accommodating and quickly set a cot up for my tired baby. The room was lovely and restaurant food looked excellent, just wish we could’ve stayed longer!
