Very nice rooms, everything you could need. There was a pool, but we didn't try it. Our host was very nice. Quite a lot of nice places to visit in the locality. Breakfast was fine.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Excellent value for money with evening meal, bed and breakfast for one person at 45 eu. They even offered a secure garage for my motorcycle, which is very thoughtful. Of note: you need to pay in cash, and the nearest ATM is in the next village (3 km) so be prepared; the rooms are up a narrow staircase; there is limited parking in front of the hotel, more in surrounding streets; there is a little supermarket 2 minutes walk away from the hotel; there is no obvious other restaurant choice in the village (there might be a pizza delivery service, I didn't investigate).
The geniality of the host. He made suggestions for local sightseeing x restaurants.
We appreciated the hard work x research that must have gone into creating the Medieval effect but, unfortunately for me, it was eerie especially the armour in the dimly lit bedroom!
The Chateau is situated deep in beautiful countryside so you certainly need your own transport. The countryside x views from the hilllside village of Usson are 'to die for!
