Good breakfast, great dinner, all the compliments to the chef and your young head waiter also. Excellent. The location, your building, the service, the gardens, really great. Emilie and Sarah at the reception were very kind and we felt very welcome. Estelle was a very gracious host and her attention to detail and feeling for quality and cosines is visible in everything.

The outdoor space was lovely though we were pestered by mosquitos.

This small hotel is located on a leafy green countryside property in the heart of Perigord. We stayed 5 days and picked it because of its close proximity to sightseeing destinations, its 4-star amenities, and its free parking, which is hard to find in the towns. Our end room on the main floor was delightful. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning was excellent at overcoming the unseasonably hot weather until it broke one night. Fortunately, the very capable hotel engineer was available to fix the problem immediately. Formidable!
Dinner was available every night at the hotel restaurant and we ate there on two of our nights. The food was very good, especially the veloute soup courses, but perhaps a bit too traditional Perigourdine for our tastes. Breakfast was also good, with a choice of hot egg dishes to supplement the usual continental breakfast faire. The marinated prunes with cinnamon and cloves were particularly good on the yogurt. Aperitifs were available before or after dinner in the charming lounge.
We did not have a chance to use the swimming pool but it was very popular with most of the guests. The ponies in the field next door were adorable!

Lovely hotel run by a delightful couple, Michelle and Ann-e. They could not do enough for us and made our stay very special. The hotel has a echo of the Far East as the owners have constructed a Chinese garden which is wonderful to wander around.

What a beautiful spot, so calm and peaceful right on the river. Room was cosy and comfortable, food was excellent, and the service friendly in an understated way.

Great location and good value for money. Breakfast wasn't included but was quite good for 8 euros.
Ok the village is quite small and there is not a lot to see. But the Vieux Logis is simply splendid and worth the cost of the stay. We had a less opulent room but entirely adequate and the grounds are magnificent - dining areas, pool and gardens. The staff is very helpful and attentive. We did not have dinner at the 1 star hotel restaurant as well we are just not into multi-course, multi wine meals, but if that's your thing, the menu with all wines is a real bargain. The petit dejeuner is superb and not to miss. We will come back
Just returned from 5 nights with 4 Adults & 3 children aged 2,4 & 5. Plenty of room for us all.
A wonderful spacious barn containing everything you will need. A thoughtful welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated. The barn is in a great location close to the village of tremolat and an excellent base to explore the area.
Great communication throughout our stay
Highly recommend
Thanks

We were unable to have breakfast because of our schedule. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. Summer would be a better time to take full advantage of the grounds, including the pool. The reception staff were most helpful, and went out of their way to assist. The female waiter we had was very helpful and pleasant.
Located in a quiet location, but within walking distance from the centre-village of Trémolat. The gite is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and is located in a very beautiful part of the Perigord area. Thank you very much for a great week kind hosts Katie and Iwan!
This is a beautiful traditional hotel in a lovely location. Choice of restaurants on the doorstep to suit all budgets. Breakfast is great but you need to eat a lot to get value for money. We live their restaurant across the road. Bistrot de la place.
Le Vieux Logis is a luxury hotel and fully meets expectations. Impeccably adorned rooms, beautiful grounds, and attentive staff are the hallmark. The latter were extraordinary, guiding us through a somewhat difficult predicament.
Great accommodation, nice location, exceptionally friendly staff willing to do anything and everything to help. Lovely garden and pool. Really class hotel.
