Perfect location, just a stone throw from the station and the castle, and pretty much any restaurant you choose. Room itself relatively spacious for the price. Staff helpful and friendly. We didn't try the breakfast, but smelled good.

Location is perfect to the château. Facility is of high quality, especially the rond table for working and talking in the evening. The waiters are very nice and polite. And their absecens is very nice to give you more free space when using the first floor(niveau 0 in french). I propose this hotel for fun and for familly party near The château. I have a good experience over night, surprisingly quite , Even so close to a music school. A good hotel.

I really liked to stay in the patio, however it was sometimes a bit cold. The breakfast was very good and diversified: I loved the eggs and omelettes that the lady was preparing us every morning. The bathrooms were nice and the bathtub was quite nice too. The staff was nice too

I have been twice before over the years, It's a very expensive suburb of Paris now and an interesting town which revolves around the Chateau. The Chateau is a place you must visit once in your life at least, and allow a full day or more as the grounds are huge. It's a commercial tourist trap, long queues and not enough people selling tickets though all staff are very friendly and helpful. I would have bought online but couldn't fathom the headset guide, you could add it then it disappeared at checkout. Turns out you can't and don't need to pre-order, they are available after ticket check at a desk in the entrance, no queue. You can buy tickets from Tourist Information (they have an allocation) to beat the queues. Don't take a very expensive tour, the audio gives the same information and there are plenty of signs to stop you getting lost. Fantastic place but more or less just a portrait gallery and heaven for lovers of architecture. Just stand there and wonder at the scale, opulence and grandeur of the place. Not much catering, just essentials but the catering staff will refill a water bottle for you free if you ask nicely (a bit of French is handy). Be prepared to get your elbows out as although access is limited there are a lot of people inside, be prepared to wait for pictures and be tolerant of the bored and ignorant being dragged around! Book one of the local hotels, we used the Ibis, a 5 minute walk and used a restaurant on Rue de Satory which has a good selection and just outside the gates.

Fantastic trip.
Fantastic trip. It had been on my bucket list for a long time and did not disappoint. Mercure hôtel exceptionally welcoming. Excellent breakfast.
Would definitely recommend.
The palace is of course the main reason to go to Versailles but I don’t advise visiting the inside on a Sunday. It was packed to the rafters and at time uncomfortably so.
But hey ho! I loved it all. Enjoy your trip…

Versailles is not a welcoming place for visitors.
Versailles is not a welcoming place for visitors. No taxi service, The train tour of the palace is a rip off. They make you stand in the hot sun while the entire crew of drivers take a long break for lunch. If you get off there is a long wait time before you can get a spot on another train. Large tour groups block passage to many exhibits. Signage throughout the gardens and some displays is very poor and non existent in many places. A real disappointment. The hotel staff and restaurants were all good and made our time spent with them very enjoyable.

Versaille is an excellent base for a stay in Paris away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, there was a great selection of local restaurants and a good evening vibe over the weekend.
We especially enjoyed visiting the local market which is open most days and felt it was a very safe area to wander around during the evening so ideal for lone travellers unsure where to stay in Paris. We also took the local RER train into central Paris which was easy to use and reasonably priced with a journey time of approx 40 mins, looking forward to returning to the area in the near future.

Beautiful town!
Beautiful town!
If you are visiting the palace I recommend hiring one of the golf buggies to see the gardens, you need your driving licence with you, €38/hour and €9.50 per extra 10 mins. We took our time going round, stopped at a few places for fresh squeezed orange juice (they have little carts at various locations) and paid a total of €57 which we felt was good value, everyone felt it was a real highlight, having the independence, and you also have a guide talking to you as you go round on a recording in the vehicle.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, towels were changed every day, room tidied too. Staff were very friendly. Brilliant location for Versailles, the palace is within walking distance. The hotel is central to Versailles, lots of shopping and restaurants very close by, just parked the car up for the 3 days we were there, perfect!
Hotel is accessible too, with a small lift at street level, then a lift inside to all floors.
Lots to like here:
1 - Good location in Versailles only a fifteen minute walk to the palace and plenty of good places to eat less than five minutes away from the hotel
2 - Excellent staff, incredibly firendly and helpful, can't commend them enough for their work!
3 - Great facilities, the rooms were very comfy, very clean and very bright, and excellent place to stay.
This was my third stay at Hotel Le Versailles. It is the closest hotel to the Chateau and I will book again next year.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good, beds exceed expectations, I always sleep very well and the mattress and sheets are great, the hotel is quiet and very convenient.
The hotel is very clean.
Nice shower.
We like the intimate setting. We decided not to rent a vehicle when in France, but instead take the train and walk. Our location was easy to walk to our destinations.
When we wanted to go to Paris we just walked to the train and spent the whole day there not worried about traffic or directions.
Of the dozen hotels we used during our road trip through France, this was the nicest. Clean, nicely furnished. No AC (almost never AC in Europe unless you pay for a 5 star) but the fan kept us comfortable. Reliable wifi. Excellent modern shower. Really nice overall!
This hotel is close to the palace and is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Versailles. The rooms are a decent size. The woman at reception is very kind and helpful. They have two bikes to rent which was so fun to ride around the parks of the palace.
Nice, clean hotel with parking. Great location for the Palace. Room was really lovely, good size. Breakfast was offered to us for €20 each so we skipped on that but there are a few places to eat close by. You have to pay for parking but was cheap for a night.
The hotel, service, location was amazing. We visited the palace of Versailles, which was walking distance. We also ate in the Gordon Ramsey restaurant for a 7 course dinner and it was delicious. We drove into Paris which was nice and easy - only 12 miles.
The hotel is small but very cozy and clean. It is on a quiet, yet well connected street, a few minutes walk from the Versailles Palace. We had everything, and even more than we expected, in the room. It was warm and comfortable inside.
The apartment is well located close to the Versailles palace, on a street with many restaurants. The check-in is made at a nearby hotel with the same ownership. The apartment has most basic amenities that are needed for a short stay.
Clean, smart hotel well situated to visit the Palace of Versailles. Great hairdryer in the room and comfortable bed with good pillows. Buffet breakfast is a little pricey but the food is good quality and the eggs and bacon are hot!
Excellent location, in a quiet neighborhood with many amenities and shops, only a few blocks from the Palace of Versailles. The manager was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
What a gem. Lovely staff, very clean and centrally located. Versailles as a place to stay (rather than running back to Paris) is a brilliant idea - the hotel, city and people were a delight.
Great proximity to the Chateau. Friendly staff and a quiet hotel with many food options nearby. I don't know of a more convenient place to stay than the Chateau itself.
Very well located hotel, so close to Versailles. Convenient parking underneath the hotel you can access from the elevator. Small room. Good rain shower. Decent sized TV.
