The hotel was lovely and clean and very welcoming. The layout of the rooms we had was brilliant with great use of the space allowing plenty of room to move around. The staff were really pleasant, helpful and great to chat to, making us feel really welcome. There was a good continental breakfast selection along with tea, coffee and toast made fresh. Whilst the village is quite small there was a good selection of restaurants around the area, some within walking distance, some a short drive. Also a 20 minute walk and you arrived at the beach, which made for a nice stroll after dinner.

lovely sea views from the balcony made for great breakfast and tea time scenery. After a day of activities being able to come back rinse off and get into the hot tub to relax was an absolute pleasure.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a week’s stay in North Wales. It was the perfect spot in which to relax as it is away from the crowds and has a lovely beach. There are a couple of hotels, and one or two gift shops. We stayed and ate at the Ty Gwesty. There appeared to be coastal walks from the village but we didn’t do them.

Aberdaron is a small village at the end of the Llyn peninsula, with a beautiful beach and lots of history, being on the ancient pilgrim route to Bardsey Island. Do visit the 12th Century church of St Hywyn right by the beach. For a small place the local facilities are very good - 2 hotels with good restaurants (stayed at both and recommend both of them), a chippy whch serves lobster and crab, 2 cafes (one in a 9th century building), a bakery with tempting treats and an ice-cream and pizza shop by the beach (recommend their pizzas!)

Absolutely stunning views, a few local shops, the bakery has a lovely selection of cakes and pies and the staff are so helpful. The little cafe in the village is very hit and miss as to when its open, diesnt seem to have any regular opening hours. Both pubs in the village are welcoming we only ate at gwesty, would recommend booking in advanced as gets busy in peak times, especially the terrace with the views overlooking the sea. Will most definitely be back to aberdaron 👍👍👍
Loved being right on Aberdaron’s spectacular beach —fantastic view and so convenient. Room was extremely pleasant, as was the bathroom. All the employees at Ty Newydd couldn’t have been more helpful or more cheerful. Food was also very good, and the restaurant’s outdoor patio hanging over the beach was fabulous.
Beautifully restored and maintained property, very spacious and comfortable. Friendly host. 30-45 minute walk from Aberdaron. Bus stop very close by has a daily service to Plas-yn-Rhiw and Pwllheli at about 11am, the return in afternoon/early evening is to Aberdaron. Well-stocked supermarket in Aberdaron.
Lovely hotel with a pub and restaurant in the heart of town with beautiful views of the sea! We enjoyed every single, delicious meal there and were treated so kindly by the staff and owner, Alun. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable with large bathrooms.
Clean, tidy with all that was required for a nice stay. Very welcoming owner. Property was well maintained and in a perfect location for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Just far enough from Aberdaron to make walking or cycling possible.
Breakfast and Dinner were good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotels position in the village was perfect. Free parking was another bonus. Drinks prices were good. The room size was really good. The room was cleaned really well.
Good access to points of interest. Great base for exploring. Aberdaron isn't far away for additional amenities..... great chippy ;-)
Two great viewpoints (hills) in walking distance to take in the Aura and Ambience of the peninsula.
The room was really spacious & comfortable, peaceful & relaxing, with a lovely seaview. The hotel is the focal point of village & beach a minute's walk away. Breakfasts were great & evening meals were fab too.
Situation of hotel is idyllic, with the sea washing up right on the shore.
The hotel has a ski chalet atmosphere about it, basic, clean and no frills.
Food also the same basic menu offering value for money.
There was everything you need in the chalet. No need to take anything. If you go with children they even provide board games.
Fantastic location for Abersoch and Aberdaron.
The location overlooking Aberdaron beach was perfect, staff were very friendly and helpful, room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was very good. A very enjoyable stay.
