Set high above the village of Charlestown of Aberlour and overlooking the River Spey, this elegant country hotel is an ideal venue for shooting and fishing, and for whisky-lovers.

Breakfast was very good.
Also dinner was exceptional, congratulations to the chef!
I never tried whisky pairing with and was a wonderful experience
To edit: The mile long tree lined High Street has an attractive square and village green and situated right in the centre of the Village is the Aberlour Hotel.

Thank you Sharon and Kev for welcoming us into your lovely cottage! We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. We enjoyed the space, the peace, the real fire, and the big window so we could see the hills from our bed! We can very much recommend the Speyburn Distillery (just a mile away!) and Caorun Gin (not far).
Situated in Aberlour and only 27 km from Elgin Cathedral, Ben View Aberlour Luxury Barn Conversion features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Location was great, it was lovely to sit outside and watch the river running by. The house was clean and warm and the beds very comfortable. Kitchen was small but adequate for all our needs. If staying longer ( we were there 3 nights) then perhaps washing and drying facilities would be good. will definitely recommend to others.
The Station Hotel is situated in Rothes and features a garden and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Glen Grant Whisky Distillery is a 2-minute walk away.

Huge room and lovely staff. We had the tasting experience with Carys which was great.

The staff were friendly and the check-in process was smooth, which we greatly appreciated. However, I feel it's important to mention that the hotel did not entirely meet our expectations as set by the description and photographs at the time of booking.
The hotel is situated on a central street which, while convenient, is quite noisy due to heavy traffic. Additionally, the facilities seem outdated, including an old bathroom, uncomfortable bed, and worn-out furniture, which do not align with the three-star rating advertised. In our view, the hotel more accurately fits a two-star rating.
We hope this feedback is helpful as you continue to improve guest experiences in the future.

Great butchers on the high street, amazing deli and wine shop and a great whiskey shop as well. Decent local supermarket. The Hotel has a really nice bar that serves excellent draught beers. Plenty of local whiskey distilleries. Brilliant fish and chip shop.
Beautiful walks along the river and a decent play area for children.
Amazing fishing on the river spey that can be booked at The Aberlour Hotel and the cost doesn't break the bank.

A nice little town with all the basics, Co-op, Ironmongers, Paper shop and Spey Larder with luxury foods.
A good Fish & Chip Shop and Chinese Takeaway.
The river walks run very close to the town centre.
There are a couple of pubs, at least, but we didn't try any.
A pretty Scottish Highland Town with beautiful countryside surroundings.
And quite level to walk around.

Walkers shortbread factory shop in the village.
Walkers shortbread factory shop in the village. On the whisky distillery trail. Close to Aviemore and Grantown on spey. Not far from the coast. Some lovey walks and wild life.
Only a few restaurants so be sure to book early.

If you are a whisky lover, the place needs no introduction.
If you are a whisky lover, the place needs no introduction. If not, still a pretty little village in a scenic setting. Lots of waking opportunities and ever more distillery visit chances. As they all close at 5 or before, we developed a habit of visiting well-appointed whisky bars, which offer you an amazing selection of a wide range of brands. They even provide fair advice on dram discoveries, I suppose less biased than at any distillery.

The walk along the river spey is very easily accessible and an easy and beautiful walk. The chippy is good. The Dowans Hotel was excellent. The Mash Tun had good atmosphere and choice of whisky but the food was average. Public transport is good and the bus stand in the town displays electronic bus times. Parking in the town is free and plentiful. There is a beautiful delicate essence/food and sandwich shop called the Speyside Larder.

Our first time in that neck of the woods.
Our first time in that neck of the woods. Aberlour is positively huge in comparison to a much smaller Dufftown, where we started our trip! Both towns, and all the surrounding areas are beautiful, calm, quiet, feeling very secluded and out of the way when coming up from Edinburgh! The walks anywhere around there are amazing, but especially in Aberlour along the river Spey, which looked wild, pristine, clear and sparkling.
Mash Tun hotel and whiskey bar is amazing, and the food better than anywhere we have eaten in the Highlands, and better than most places in Edinburgh.
Really enjoyable stay, with a comfortable bed (a little firmer than I'm used took but I slept quite well) and an ensuite. The food is top quality and mostly quite affordable for how good it is with an excellent (if pricey) whisky selection. I'd like to meet the guest who can afford the £1500 dram, but I had a very good 12 year Aberlour for £5.70.
The quality of the room and food is superior to many 4 star hotels, a very good breakfast and again worth repeating, very good food.
The location is perfect to visit distilleries in Speyside. It is safe, private, and quiet. The hosts are nearby and they are responsive and welcoming. The room itself is more like a small house, homey and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped. There are thoughtful, cozy amenities all throughout. We stayed there on the coldest days of the year and there were many means to keep ourselves and the room warm.
The cottage is great, well-equipped and in a very convenient location, close enough to Aberlour to walk (and there's a walkway along the main road). The living room makes for a lovely place to chill at the end of a day exploring the area.
And Michelle was a very good, responsive and at the same time discreet host.
Absolutely PERFECT in every way. Large, gorgeous, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean room. Several large windows which opened for fresh air and had fantastic views. Big bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location in center of Aberlour, next to river, and along the Speyside way.
The property is a hidden gem within Aberlour. Fantastic location and is absolutely pristine. you would think that it has just been completed. Top Marks all round and you just cannot look by this wonderful property. I am already missing the place……especially the breakfast which is top notch.
Nice three star hotel in the home of my favorite Malt Whiskey (the Aberlour Distillery was not doing their usual visits due to staffing issues). Beautiful village near the beautiful Spey River. Free parking, lots to walk to. Walker's Shortbread (also made there) left in rooms.
Well stocked fridge, easy to find, really clear directions on arrival.
Spacious, comfy beds and living room.
Great space for work or relaxing after exploring Whisky country.
Right next to Aberlour distillery.
Shower was great, very modern.
A stunning house, set in a stone courtyard surrounded by beautiful countryside. The property is fresh and spotlessly clean throughout. The bedrooms are boutique hotel quality and everything is well equipped. Wifi signal was strong.
Very comfortable property. Well appointed with everything that you need. Ideally located for a short walk into the village centre to access shops etc. We liked taking an evening walk along the river for a drink in the Mash Tun.
We loved everything about this property. Colin and Sarah were lovely hosts. The bedroom/bathroom beautifully appointed and comfortable.
Breakfast delicious and a lovely menu to choose from. Very quiet rural area.
The location was amazing and the property very clean with everything we needed for a short stay. Very peaceful and quiet with plenty around Aberlour and only a short trip to the coast or into the Cairngorms.
Lots of little touches that make it so special.
Location perfect for a short walk into Aberlour or walk to Glenallachie Distillery.
Owner really friendly & helpful.
Will definitely return for a stay again
Food was disappointing. Menu hasn’t changed in a couple of years and the Cooper Dog in Cragellachie has upped its game so I would say nice hotel but food doesn’t live up to the quality of the hotel
Nice location in the centre of Charlestown of Aberlour. Easy access to cafe and wandering around. The room was as expected, smallish but well catered. Nice hot shower.
super friendly family they owns and runs the facility , great breakfast and lunch at the hotel with staff that are very attentive and attention to detail
