Everything was great. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Claudia was very kind and she left in the house some snacks for us. Parking is possible on the street in front of the house. Dog friendly acommodation.

The bed in room 5 was terrible. I’d like to advise the owner to sleep in there for a night. He will then go and get a new mattress or bed I would think. The rest of the place was delightful- however our sleep was terrible.

We didn't stop in the town of Aboyne itself, but if (or rather, when!) we go back, we will do so, as it looked very pleasant as we drove through. The scenery in the area is beautiful, and we enjoyed our drives around the area. There are plenty of placed of interest to visit and a super-abundance of castles. Beautiful place with great access to river and woodland walks. Quaint feel. A few solid local establishments to eat and drink, including the Boat Inn which has a great atmosphere and food/bar. A little scarce on eateries open later, particularly on weeknights. Most places closed by 8pm, although would highly recommend Nurtaj, the local Indian restaurant! Beautiful inside, lovely staff, amazing food. Aboyne was also a good base for accessing other places, with excellent road links out towards Inverness, Aberdeen, the Moray coast, and more. Not touristy in the best way. Beautiful place.

Lovely little town to visit, very quiet and peaceful with interesting buildings. Highly recommended if you're visiting the Cairngorms, Aberdeen or anywhere nearby. The Boat Inn is an amazing place to stay as well as for a meal or drinks with lovely indoor and outdoor spaces. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by Joyce, the incredible host of this amazing place, with hot tea and a delicious cake. Our room was super comfy and clean, the bed one of the best ever tried in a hotel: we slept like babies! and what a view it offers! Breakfast was spot on, with plenty of choices.
