From the minute we arrived we felt at home. Melissa efficiently registered us and took my bag up for me as we had had a long train journey along with the fact that I had hip bursitis developed in the last two weeks probably from twisting in and out of my car...lesson learned! Our two rooms were adjacent and had everything required for our stay. There was a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel - other guests were friendly, some were bikers (yay!), some Dale walkers, a happy mixture.
Loved my bed, duck filled duvet, oh the list is endless, and wow the chefs did us proud too.

One night stopover on a long journey. Long Preston has a main A road running through it but you were soon away from that into lovely countryside. Everything was fine. Clean. Breakfast good.

The room was very comfortable with a lovely view across the gardens and surrounding countryside. They staff were also very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent too.
Aitron is a great location for local walking (& cycling).
Aitron is a great location for local walking (& cycling). I would suggest it would not be great for a family with young children. There are no local shops (besides a farm shop which is really a tourist shop). But very pleasant surrounding areas & great pubs.
