Average coffee machine was good , reception staff were pretty good , breakfast staff not so much. Location was best feature.
Perfectly located at the gates to The Cathedral Close and ten minutes to Stonehenge. The Chapter House is steeped in history and culture.

Helpfulness of all staff we encountered - very important, as one of us is disabled and we knew in advance that there are no groundfloor bedrooms. It wasn't ideal, but we were given every possible assistance.

Good breakfast buffet, clean, quiet hostel-type hotel. Just the old building (type boarding school - had been a convent) in the old Abbey court was worth seeing and staying in. The location could not have been better, stepping out of the door you had the salisbury Cathedral in front of you.
Bed was comfortable to sleep, good shower (we had own bathroom), we even appreciated the lack of television.
The Kings Head is situated in Whiteparish, 14 km from Salisbury Cathedral. Located around 17 km from Old Sarum, the hotel is also 20 km away from Salisbury Racecourse.
