We liked everything! The riverside situation is idyllic, the staff were efficient and friendly and the food imaginative and delicious. There was a good selection of hand pulled beers. Our room was capacious and the bed was comfortable. The shower was fine.

The host Elizabeth was lovely, she was so friendly and there was even some brownies left in the cottage for us. The cottage was beautiful, rooms were spacious and each had then own bathroom, lovely little outside sitting area, it felt like home from home

Private carpark off the road for motorbikes and the fact that the windows were new and opened beautifully wide so we got loads of fresh Alston air into the room. The breakfast was cooked fresh and served with big smiles. The beers are too notch too. I like this place!!!
