The room was very clean, cosy and warm. It was nice to have the extra touches in the room, ie the tray of refreshments and also to have fresh milk outside the door. The room was very central for all amenities in Alnwick.

In the centre of Alnwick, this 300-year-old coaching inn is a short walk from Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Its restaurant’s decor was salvaged from the Titanic’s sister ship. Free parking is available....

We went due to the staircase and restaurant salvaged from the Olympic. This was excellent, although the hotel could make so much more of this.

Alnwick is a good place to visit and is an ideal base for exploring the area.
There are a number of good restaurants and cafes.
Alnwick Castle is worth a visit, but don’t bother with Alnwick Gardens as they are small and over priced.

This was our first visit to Alnwick and we've fallen in love! There were so many intriguing and characterful shops to explore and we were spoilt for choice for lovely places to eat. We would whole heartedly recommend eating a SherKhan - some of the best curry we've ever had - and also The Adam and Eve.
Dirty Bottles is a fab venue, great for a drink but would skip the very averge food next time.

The castle and gardens were closed but we have been in them before and so we were not disappointed. A walk along the river at the back of the castle is very nice and a good test of your waterproofs and footwear. Hulne park has good walks. Alnwick is a beautiful town. Berwick and Morpeth nearby, complement the area.

Alnwick is an excellent centre for visiting many locations in Northumberland, with lots of scenic coastline and castles on your doorstep. There are plenty of excellent places to eat however if you are going to stay over a weekend I would recommend booking a table in advance as they all get very busy. If you want to book the treetop restaurant book months on advance to avoid disappointment. Alnwick castle and gardens are a must if you have never visited before.

Informative tours are available with very knowledgeable staff. Even if you don't take a tour of the castle and wander around yourself, staff are on hand to answer any questions you may have about the history of the castle and gardens . A fantastic place to visit.
We popped out for a walk around the town mid visit and had no issue getting back in to the castle afterwards.
A very comfortable house in a very quiet location close to the A1 and therefore easy access to all of the nearby lovely places - Alnwick town centre, Alnmouth, Craster, Beadnell, Seahouses, Berwick, Bamburgh Castle, Dunstaburgh Castle, Warkworth - all with great beaches, walking and birds!
Tastefully decorated with practical furnishings equipped with everything you need for a break in Northumberland
AND as a bonus M&S Foodhall and Turnbull's butchery/deli/shop are just down the road!
The house is in a beautiful location. There are many walks that you can do in Ingram or nearby. The landscape and wildlife are amazing. The house is a beautiful old house with character. The hosts are very nice and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. For breakfast, we had a freshly cooked English breakfast, toasts, fruits and yogurt. It was very nice. We felt very safe as the hosts adhere to the Covid regulations. We would be happy to stay there again.
We had 3 nights in this lovely boutique hotel, we were upgraded to The Chapel, a beautiful, unusual suite which was very clean and comfortable, especially the huge bath! Great location near the Castle, but quiet, great choice of breakfast and the bistro was lovely for evening meal, beautiful food and dining room. The staff were exceptional, particularly the lovely lady who served us breakfast and supplied us with a great pack up for our walk. Would highly recommend.
The friendliest welcome from a perfect gent. Couldn't be more attentive. Room was lovely size to the front of the property. Comfortable and clean room. All the little details, fantastic, even an umbrella in the room. They seem to have considered everything for their visitors.
Breakfast was to a very high standard. Taking personal preferences into account.
Great place to stay, a traditional B&B.
The location of the accommodation was excellent: very central in town and very near the bus stops. Alnwick is a very beautiful town with lots of attractions including a lovely castle. It is a great town to be based to explore the surrounding area/s. The guest house is also next door to an excellent bar :). There was a kettle and tea and coffee in the room.

Rooms were lovely and a very comfortable bed! Staff were really attentive, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. We would stay here again. Perfect location for The Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle.
The staff were exceptionally friendly. We were in Alnwick for the Macmillan Mighty Hike, so everywhere was very busy. The room was great and very clean, and plenty of hot water. Would recommend, and would definitely stay again.
