The host Sarah and the lady who was working the bar were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Nice garden at the rear to sit and have a drink before dinner. Swimming pool for those that are brave enough! The breakfast was nice and drinks reasonably priced.

Situated conveniently off the A37 in a peaceful village just north of Dorchester, The Greyhound Inn boasts a prime location. The welcoming atmosphere upon arrival and the exceptional quality of food served make for a delightful experience, although the dessert menu may not be suitable for those with nut allergies, but there were options.
The bedrooms, located opposite the pub, offer a convenient stay; however, the room I booked was Maggie which had the boiler extractor outside the window, as it intermittently operates throughout the night, leading to a less than restful sleep.
To ensure a more pleasant stay in the future, it is advisable to request a room away from the boiler extractor noise. By doing so, one can potentially enjoy an exceptional experience at The Greyhound Inn without any disturbances.

Centrally located in Dorset with old world charm and character, in a quiet setting. For those that want to avoid the rush of the coast, explore the hidden valleys and the yet be reasonable drive from anywhere. It is hard to beat. Plus being an inn, you get reasonable priced drinks and very, very good wholesome food, up to a good standard, way beyond pub grub.
