Fabulous old pub, with a lovely bar and dining room. We booked the budget double and it was a great room for 3 nights. The staff are exceptional, with particular praise for Gary and Veronica who make you feel like you’re right at home. Fabulous breakfast and easy access to walk the town, or jump in the car and see the beautiful areas nearby.

We really like Amlwch and the surrounding places on the north coast of Anglesey. Fantastic views, coastal walks and beaches.
Recommend a walk around Parys mountain (Copper Kingdom) - a lovely walk with interesting history and amazing views. Sadly the museum about the history of Copper mining in this area, located by Amlwch harbour never seems to be open.

Amlwch is not worth a visit , there was a very poor tea room which was frankly ghastly , the place is interesting to hear about but a total bore to visit. We both felt the Lastra motel was in the wrong location.
After a meal we didn't enjoy at astra we went the following evening to the Boathouse in Red wharf which was half the price but very much better and enjoyable.
It must be added that the dogs had a wonderful stay with their toys and the fields around perfect for pets they are made very welcome it would have been to have had the same attention
Sincerely

Excellent location for all that Anglesey has to offer, and locally the walks are excellent, nice pub at the bottom of the road, beautiful scenery, lovely little bay to walk down to. And if you get the chance go and visit lligwy beach, great walks to nearby bays. Great food to be found at sea shanty past Holyhead, fish and chips from moelfre, and a nice coffee at Anne’s pantry also in moelfre. Go out towards the mountains for some action at Zip World and the mountain coaster. Anglesey, who wouldn’t want to visit.

Simple really as my wife's brother and wife live there and we visit regularly. Yes, it is a long drive from the depths of Cornwall but as it is our family, we continue to do it despite our advancing years and the decreasing pleasure of motoring today. But cannot lie, Anglesey is lovely.
We always look forward to our travels there and accommodation is important. We originally stayed at a lovely Farmhouse that met all that we could wish for and they had Portmeirion pottery at breakfast so that bought us. But sadly, on enquiring for our latest trip they were not offering accommodation. It was such a lovely relaxing and enjoyable setting, But fortunately, we also had previously stayed at Trecastell and so on enquiring, we were very happy to be able to book there.

The most hospitality service we liked was the 2 housekeepers were very helpful and accomadating because we never saw a receptionist even though we rang the bell .And if you were new to the area a receptionist could help you with where to go in A nglesey and what to see to ask also would you like to stay for dinnerThere was no menu the girl on the bar said the menu doesn't com e out till. That morning after we had gone out for the day So for a 4 star hotel which I a.ways go to when Im travelling I found this one just needed tweeting a little.

Had a lovely relaxing stay, the hotel food was first class, breakfasts were first class. Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Bar was well stocked and some traditional ales We did get a room upgrade to a double with the most amazing sea views, stunning. Only downside was the room size could have been slightly bigger we felt a tad on top of each other, next visit we will ask for a larger double room. Shower room was so close to the bed although a good size. Had an issue getting the shower running but persevered and was ok. Overall a lovely break for my 65th
Super simple breakfast home made bread , solicitous hosts, friendly , kind, helpful.
My only slight reservation was that the bathroom was upstairs. I had booked in a hurry and didn’t notice, but everything else way exceeded my expectations, this is a delightful family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying and would recommend 100%. I thought the area was very interesting (copper mine, history of Amlwch) and there’s an amazing Indian restaurant just down the road. Superb, totally 5 stars!
Fabulous location on a quiet stretch of the stunning Anglesey coastline with easy access to the coast path. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely decor in smallish but comfortable room; spacious shower room with window. Breakfast was good. The restaurant menu had a good mixture of simple traditional and more imaginative dishes and everything was nicely cooked.
location location location! a superb view from our comfortable room with a fabulous view of the sea. nice pub in house with lovely breakfast and dinner at the property. Great location to travel out within an hour great sightseeing. not a fancy hotel but very nice and more than adequate. plenty of parking and nice to walk and take in the beauty of the North Wales Coast.
The location was peaceful and beautiful, overlooking the sea. The hotel & facilities were perfect. Friendly staff, excellent breakfasts & evening meals in the restaurant. The room was a little cramped, but had a comfortable bed, tea coffee & biscuits which were replaced daily. A lovely modern bathroom with a good shower. A very enjoyable stay.
This hotel is one of the most welcoming and relaxing hotels I have ever stayed in. You are treated like a guest rather than a customer. The staff are freindly and efficient. Breakfast was spot on and the meals served in the restaurant were very nice indeed. I really enjoyed my stay there and I would highly recommend this hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful (reception, breakfast staff, cleaning staff). Breakfast was varied and cooked beautifully. Hotel was quirky, which always appeals to us (wonky floors, nothing matching, unusual corridor set up). Majority of cleanliness was excellent (bathroom, bed sheets, sides)
Excellent little hotel in the centre of Amlwch. Very cosy and friendly with welcoming staff. We enjoyed dinner there in the bar ( Sea bass and steak) which was delicious. The breakfast was awesome! All in all a wonderful mini break and we will be returning.
The staff were so nice we didn't get off the ferry till half 12 and didn't get to the hotel till 1am and they had some one waiting to check us in even though they don't stay open that late, and the staff in the morning were lovely breakfast was lovely to x
Absolutely everything. The photo's don't come close to how wonderful and beautifully designed this property is. It felt like being in a high-end / five star hotel. It is exceptional and quietly located too, so superb for some peace and tranquility.
Everything. Lovely inside and out. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Hosts were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us. Absolutely superb! If I had to rate out of 10 without doubt it would be 11. Will definitely be going back next visit to Anglesey.
Fantastic apartment, very clean and comfortable in the heart of Amlwch. The host was very communicative and helpful and we arrived to a very thoughtful and lovely collection of treats. Easy self check-in. Would definitely recommend and return.
The entire staff provided a wonderful experience.
Very peaceful and quiet hotel, ideal for vacations and weekends.
They serve a nice and tasty dinner and breakfast.
This is something I would recommend to anyone.
Great value- traditional UK-style breakfast included in the price per night. Easy parking available. Dinner available at the hotel. Friendly staff and regulars.
