Very comfortable and homely. Lovely outdoor seating which we made sure of as it was great weather. Brilliant service. Went above and beyond for our stay by taking us to the wedding venue we were going to instead of getting a taxi.

The walks in this part of the country are stunning as are the beaches if you get the weather! And there's never a shortage of good places to eat. If you have a furry friend, the majority of the shops and restaurants are pet friendly.

Anstruther is a lovely and lively little town in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. It has a very picturesque harbour, good eating places, including the wonderful and award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, a number of interesting shops and a well-stocked Co-op. It is within easy reach of other lovely little East Neuk towns/villages, including St Monans, Pittenweem and Crail, and the university town of St Andrews, which is a must for visitors to the area. The RNLI shop at Anstruther harbour has a really good selection of little presents to take home to loved ones, including the iconic yellow wellies for little feet!

Anstruther is a beautiful town, but can be very busy in summer months.
Great for a walking holiday along Fife coastal path but it is not mobility scooter friendly with narrow pavements and no dropped kerbs.
Great selection of fish and chip shops and small cafes.

The cottage was in a great position for a view of Anstruther and a 5min drive to the seaside front was ideal.
Anstruther is a great fishing village, with plenty of cafes and restaurants for all needs, with easy access and parking along the front, with a 5min drive either way to other quaint fishing villages.
Haddock & chips was perfect. ;)
Location was steps from the harbor and a variety of food options. 10-15 minute walk to the grocery. Excellent location for walking the coastal path. Thoughtfully appointed and beautifully decorated and had everything we could need. Extremely comfortable beds, pillows and living/dining furniture. Great kitchen for people who would rather eat in. Plus Fiona is lovely to work with and communicates well. Very easy check in process. Would definitely stay again and be happy to recommend this home to others. Glad The Bank was booked up!
A cosy, accommodating hostel, in an old building brimming w/personality! Excellently located. Woke up to the sound of waves slowly crashing up against the shore. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, the toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. The bed was delightfully comfortable, and the hostel itself was inviting, charming, and wonderful. Darius was friendly, prompt, and professional. My stay in Anstruther was excellent thanks to the lovely Murray Library Hostel :-)
Very warm welcome and friendly staff. We stayed in December and appreciated the efficient radiators and piping hot power shower. The breakfast was one of the best we've eaten. Very convenient location for exploring this stretch of the Fife coast. Crail is a lovely fishing village and the walk from there to Anstruther and back (8 miles) was the perfect start to the Cheistmas season.
The apartment is spacious and clean. We loved the modern decor in the living area. Centrally located in a quiet street, short walking distance into Anstruther. The host left clear instructions and the cleaning staff have done a great job in looking after the apartment. Highly recommended and we will book again when we're next in the area.
The owner hosts, Mark and Jennifer, have created a wonderful B&B in Anstruther. The home is elegant, beautifully maintained and appointed, and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy. Our room was quiet, spotless, and comfortable. Mark and Jennifer did everything possible to ensure a wonderful stay.
I loved the courtyard to have a nice glad of wine after a day of travel. The breakfast was top notch (eggs Benedict on a croissant with smoked salmon) . my group loved walking the Fife path to the flag hill park and finding sea glass and pottery shards on the beach at low tide
Lovely stone cottage, close to sea/beaches, nestled in the beautiful village of Anstruther. Off street parking , outside seating . Inside all besutifully decorated, great showers and comfy super beds. A plentiful supply of dishes and cutlery in a lovely big kitchen.
We really enjoyed the seaview. The bath was really pretty. The staff were really accommodating with our check in and check out. After a long week of work this was a welcomed stay. It is ideally placed in the lovely town of Anstruther and close to the fife coastal trail.
The room had a fantastic view over the harbour and the sea. There is parking posible around the small lanes around the hotel and it has a good location in the middle of Anstruther. There is a common kitchen very suitable for those who cook themselves.
No breakfast was provided but plenty of cafes nearby. Hotel central in Anstruther. There are table and chairs in the hotel dining area and you can buy a carry out and eat if there. Only 8 bedrooms in the hotel - all booked - but it was very quiet
I really liked the young staff working at the hotel, they were so polite and friendly. The food was absolutely excellent, I had a great curry at night and a delicious breakfast. The location was great too. I would definitely stay here again.
Very friendly manageress who was very helpful and welcoming. There were a few minor issues but nothing significant. The breakfast was definitely to my liking. I really enjoyed my visit to Anstruther and my stay in the Royal Hotel.
Spotlessly clean room. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Lovely and warm in room and bar. Staff were welcoming, friendly and approachable. All in all, an excellent experience in lovely Anstruther. Breakfast was excellent.
ideally located, Brackness House is prefect for exploring Fife. Robert and Catriona were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. The big Scottish breakfast and the showers were fantastic!
Cleanliness and location were perfect for us. Close to the beautiful coastal path and also local restaurants and grocery store. Multiple golf courses nearby and a short scenic drive to Saint Andrews.
Very comfortable, spacious and well-appointed accommodation with lovely water-facing views, perfectly situated within the town of Anstruther. Friendly staff made us feel quite at home.
Best Breakfast we ever had in Scotland. Everything was homemade an absolutly delicious. Clare is a wonderful host. Very warm, friendly an funny. We would definetly come back again.
Great location for exploring Fife region. Helpful staff. Appreciated the owner adjusted breakfast as it was not meeting my wife´s needs and added some yoghurt and fruits.
Friendly host gave useful tips on facilities (eating, museums) in Anstruther. This village and those nearby are just lovely. Good base for exploring them.
