My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat. Perfect location with gorgeous view and it's not too far from the Lake site. The rooms were well maintained and felt comfortable. I slept so comfortably. As we like to cook our own food I felt the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Staff were so helpful and did their best to help with anything we would need. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay especially my parents who were long way from home were overwhelmed with the beauty and hospitality. Would recommend staying here.

Excellent location, private second floor ensuite room with a view of the mountains and loch, very delicious breakfast. Easy check-in with a courteous receptionist. After leaving I realised whilst on my onward journey to Oban I'd left my phone charger in the room, I phoned the hotel and the staff very kindly reserved it for me to collect three days later.

Melissa and Paul were incredibly accommodating and generous. It was my birthday, and Melissa treated me to freshly cut flowers and a celebratory drink. The location is gorgeous and perfect for bagging several Munros—we did Ben Narnainne, Ime, and Vane—and our room offered a stunning view across Loch Long to the Cobbler. We love a cooked breakfast, and the additional pastries were a nice surprise. Melissa and Paul were able to fit an extra bed in our room so a friend could join us. We felt very well looked after.

Everything !! Great location and even though on the A83 it was very quite. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The cottage is very nice with everything you need for a home from home stay. Very clean inside with comfy furniture and a very comfy bed. The views from the lounge and bedroom windows was breath taking and even better when viewing from outside ! Simply stunning views of the Arrochar alps and loch Long. Thank you for a lovely if not rather damp stay.

Breakfast was fairly good with a choice of foods, the croissants were never fresh though. The evening meal was OK but very institutional catering for coach trips. There was a choice of menu but basic. No coffee offered after meals. Hotel was in lovely setting and clean, however the hotel is tired and in need of a lot of modernisation. The windows were sealed shut so no ventilation in hot bedrooms or stairwells.

Very convenient and very easy to find. Do not get the through traffic of Loch Lomond A82 and yet only 2 miles away. Dinner was very nice although choice a little limited. Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was fine: fruit juice, cereal and full Scottish. A good hotel for overnight accommodation. The staff are great and attentive and the hotel is clean. The WiFi worked well although not totally secure.

Everything. What a fantastic home in a beautiful area. Have been holidaying in Loch lomond for 20+ years, and this is by far the nest location i have stayed in. Village inn down the road for bevy and a scran and plenty more bars/hotels and restaurants a 5/10min walk away. Fishing on the pier (caught 3 Mackeral no big deal guys). Genuinely canny wait to come back.

Ideally situated next door to the Village Inn serving excellent food and listed in the Good Beer Guide, Close to the Arrochar carparks for The Cobbler/Ben Arthur mountain route. Nice view of Loch Long and the mountains through mature trees. Anything you could possibly want provided. Friendly hostess and good cooked breakfast with homemade jams.

This hotel is right across the street from a salt water loch so the scenery was beautiful. They have a nice lounge area and dinning room. There is outdoor seating overlooking the loch if you wish. The food was well prepared, and they provided us with an option to pay an up price to order food not on their meal included menu.

Glebe Country House is a very nice example of a classic B&B. Bernadette, the host, gave a very friendly welcome. She has lavished every corner with very nice details, and the finishes and furnishings are excellent. The setting is lovely and quiet, with a view from the front bedrooms of Loch Lomond. Breakfast was terrific.

The staff were fantastic. I left something behind and I emailed them after I left. They responded quickly and helpfully. I sent a stamped addressed envelope to the hotel and they popped it inside and gave it to the postman (no post office in town) They were super helpful throughout
