A little dated but beautiful room with a little window door that led to an outside area with a perfect view.

From the very start the staff were attentive, smiling and obviously a happy team. The room we had was beautiful, really comfortable beds and an absolutely superb bathroom TV over the bath, twin sinks and a wonderful large walk in shower. The breakfast was delicious, we ate in the bistro one night and my husband had the liver which he said was perfect, Im a veggi and the risotto was light and tasty. The restaurant has lovely views of the lake and the food is delicious
There is a lovely walk around the grounds and the location is perfect for Bowness and Windermere

Great food and choice of beers together with a long list of wines by the glass.
We stayed for two nights having stayed there before. We like the fairly remoteness of the Masons arms

The lady who was doing front of house and reception was lovely and welcoming. I had a really comfortable night in my room after a long journey. Sadly I didn’t have time to explore the Lake District as I was travelling for work but it is a great location for those who have time to have a proper break. There is lots to do in the area.
Lovely apartment and setting. Clean and well equipped.
Lovely apartment and setting. Clean and well equipped. The only issue was no lift so second floor apartments not suitable for elderly or disabled. We have my 90 year old mother who struggled with the stairs.

Backbarrow is just off the A590, so really easy to find.
Backbarrow is just off the A590, so really easy to find. There's not much to do in Backbarrow - it's got the local steam train station one way, and the Motor Museum, local hotel and escape rooms the other - and great walks from the door. No local shops.
Lovely 3 bed duplex apartment in a modern and newly built development in keeping with the surrounding landscape and Ironworks heritage, in a beautiful and perfect location for visiting various parts of the Lake District. Front and rear balconies with stunning views of the River Leven, the development and watching the steam train go passed. Short walks to the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, the Lakeland Motor Museum and surrounding hotels.
