Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Lots of treats for the wee dog so she was happy too. It's a lively local bar so bring your ear plugs if you like to get an early night. Wonderful breakfast with good coffee. Great river walk with beautiful old trees just outside.

Great atmosphere at The Taybank. The room and bathroom were quirky, boutique style. Loved the hamper, picnic style breakfast, full of lovely goodies. Coffee in the room was excellent.

Staff extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. Room we eventually got allocated was excellent except for the bed mattress which was uncomfortable and the room would have benefitted from Air Con. Calm relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel and food/drinks were great albeit the drinks were a bit pricey.

Recommended by friends, and certainly came up to expectation. Staff could not have been more helpful. We ate in the Inn both nights and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Local lit is ideal for visiting either Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Perth.

Some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery is close by -the view down Loch Earn is my favourite. The towns - Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Crieff, are pleasant places to visit. The locals proved warm and entirely dog-friendly.
We visited in December - my first time to see the peaks under snow - and drove up into the Cairngorms for a more immersive experience of this.
Some attractions close for the season (eg Blair castle) and there is probably more still open in the first half of December than later on.

Dunkeld Cathedral is well worth a visit - being on the banks of the river Tay and having a park like layout on the river bank adds immensely to the pleasure of visiting.
The Beatrix Potter Garden in Birnam is a lovely experience!

The cooked breakfast was ok.we would have liked to be asked what we wanted on cooked breakfast ie brown / white toast or how eggs cooked but plates arrived as per chef and fairly basic..1 sausage and no beans..
We only stayed for 1 night and this place was ideal for us
I arrived on a Saturday with a damaged car, result of being hit when stationary at a roundabout, Staff showed great concern, fed me after the kitchen closed. I needed an extra night, although the hotel was closed on Monday and Tuesday they allowed me to stay Sunday night, fed me Monday morning, then Don, the chef, took me to the accident recovery garage in Perth, 6 miles away, to begin sorting out the aftermath of the accident. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very Much appreciated, to be revisited.
Lovely stay at Bankfoot Inn. All the staff are really helpful and made us feel welcome. It feels very cosy with a log fire, good food, and relaxing atmosphere. We really appreciated
breakfast being served at the table, and it was delicious 😋
Dogs are welcome, and it's an excellent location for country walks and the town of perth only a short drive away.
We enjoyed our stay at The Bankfoot Inn right from crossing the threshold until we drove away. The food and Casked ales were excellent, all the staff we met were very genuine and welcoming will be looking to book and stay again at this gem. Would like to recommend it to my friends and family but then there might not be a room free for my next stay.
I was on a motorbike trip and decided to break my journey to Dornoch with an overnight stay at the Bankfoot Inn. The staff were very friendly, the room had recently been nicely refurbished, the food and local beer in the restaurant was great and I thought overall it was good value for money.
the hotel is situated in a quiet village approx. 8 miles from Perth which is well worth a visit. the hotel was very pleasant with welcoming staff and provided excellent food for both dinner and breakfast
This was a very friendly village pub and hotel. There was a lovely welcome, it was lively and the food was excellent. In some ways it was like coming home. The lady of the house was lovely.
The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was delicious and the room was spacious and comfortable. It had the nicest shower during our week-long trip in Scotland.
