Extremely helpful staff for check in with my elderly father and adaptability of his room, allowing us to take a different chair with arms into his room to help him get up and onto his walker etc. Also gave great advice to my husband on how best and cheapest to get into Edinburgh in the evening for a quick visit to the festival ( only there that night en route to a holiday). Food good value and enjoyable. We could see it was near/on an industrial estate but it was well screened and quiet. Nothing too much trouble. Although we could see it was near/on an industrial estate near the motorway. It was well screened, quiet and very convenient. Thank you. We would stay again in the future as a stopover.

as my trip was to visit family i use the hotel as a base so cannot offer any views on bathgate itself . but the hotel is ideal for travel to either glasgow and edinburgh. as the hotel offers a evening meal there is no need to go anywhere else.allthough i tend to drive most places i beleive the railway station is not far so a option for travelling to edinburgh, and less than an hours drive you can cross the forth bridge or one of the others to explore more of scotland.what i would avoid on any future trips would be looking at staying anywhere else..

The rooms were good and facilities.

The rooms were good and facilities. The breakfast and evening meals are very good. good location for other cities and attractions. Staff were very polite and helpful. the only things that could be better are lighting in the rooms and the shower pressure. some comfortable seating in the restaurant area.

I lived in Bathgate as a young boy so I have many fond memories. Logistically it is ideally located and only 25 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and a few major highways. Shopping is limited but you can get what you need. Livingston Center is only 15 minutes away with fantastic shopping. It has a great Scot Rail service right near the town center so getting to either Glasgow or Edinburgh is very easy. It's a friendly town. Most of the time you'll be greeted by a stranger walking past you on the pavement. It's very low key but a great base to explore lower Scotland from.

The price was amazing value. Close to Edinburgh airport

The price was amazing value. Close to Edinburgh airport Do not as a previous reviewersaid, judge a book by its cover. The outside is uninviting and looks unkept and old fashioned. Quite different inside

I have stayed many times. During the pandemic this was a secure place for me to stay whilst travelling for work. There is always a warm welcome from staff. The rooms are above the restaurant and whilst they are not luxurious, they are comfortable and well heated. The location is great for nearby industrial parks. Also it is well worth a walk around Bathgate. The restaurant on site is good. Also, Golden Swallow has great Chinese dishes. The latte and Scottish full breakfast are lovely. The price is fantastic. Family run local business.

Lovely, quirky b&b run by friendly and helpful hosts. The rooms have their own individual style - if you're looking for cookie cutter, impersonal hotel accommodation this may not be for you, but it's an ideal home away from home with a safe, cosy atmosphere. I stayed in a twin room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedroom and ensuite were spotless. The location is perfect, a quiet little street but only two minutes walk from the train station. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

Both myself and my partner booked an overnight at the Vu Snugs for valentines we arrived to the most beautiful snug pod we've ever been to everything was so clean and perfect with lovely little touches on the bed, rose petals and chocolates not forgetting the complimentary prosseco and breakfast in the fridge. Overall a fantastic night away the place was so quiet and chilled I just wish we knew this hidden gem of a place existed sooner in West Lothian we will definitely be back again for sure! Thanks again 😊

Had the best stay at this fabulous hotel last week. We stayed here while going to see Coldplay in Glasgow. The staff were amazing - the receptionists, bar, security and restaurant staff were so nice and so helpful. The food here is also amazing and the rooms clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay. 15 min walk to bus and rail station with frequent connections to nearby destinations. Thanks to all the staff who made us welcome and made our stay enjoyable 😉

Nice friendly staff. Clean and modern rooms, recently refurbished by the looks of them Good service and good cheap food . Staff were very efficient in their table service considering it was very busy. There was a 25th Anniversary party being served along with an Irish dance group. Nothing seemed to phase any of the staff and they were very efficient in their duties of serving the tables from start to end. Other hotels could learn from this hotels staff.

The location was beautiful. The self check in was seamless and they were wonderful to communicate with prior to arrival. The beds were comfortable. Amenities were spot on. The black out curtains and the breakfast treat in the fridge was a nice touch. If we/ when we come back to Scotland we will be staying here again.
