It is in a very small town so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this place really surprised me! It was very nice. The breakfast was really good too!

Nice selection of a continental breakfast in the room and a restaurant in the actual property itself, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, couldnt have asked for more.

Beautiful quiet location which is also highly convenient for nearby wedding venues. Jane was super friendly and helpful and the room had all the facilities you'd want. Breakfast was outstanding.

Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful.
This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue, cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. Certainly not a upmarket hotel.
It is however in a stunning location.

This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure.
This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure. I sometimes travel through on my way to work in Kielder and around Northumberland so have never got to experience the town proper. Some great places to eat including the Fountain Cottage and Happy Valley and cute local shops such as Olive and Myrtle and Natural Northumberland. Recently our friends opened their brewery at the old ambulance station, F&L (First & Last) which also has a tap room opened 09.12.2022 - this addition to the town and previous positive visits will ensure my return for both work and leisure

Lovely little village.
Lovely little village.
A few good places to eat out, even for coeliacs.
Co-op grocery store and some very nice little gift shops.
Visitor centre was very interesting.
Great location for visiting Kielder Observatory, Kielder Water, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts, Hadrian's Wall and Hexham - 30 mins from them all by car.
Everyone I met in the village and surrounding area was very helpful and friendly too.

Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above the weight of its size - being the obvious local focus for a wide rural area. It is well provided for in terms of shops (including specialist butcher, bakers etc.) and plenty for tourists. It has multiple pubs, a couple of which (the Cheviot and Riverdale Hall) I can recommend from personal experience. Local beers were on hand pump and of high standard. The walking (particularly the Pennine Way) is of an excellent and picturesque quality.
The cottage has recently had a top quality refurbishment and everything is tip top!..bathroom has an enormous spa bath (fab) and a shower, 2 large bedrooms, very comfortable good sized and attractive lounge and a fully fitted kitchen, lovely garden to front overlooking fields, pics on Booking.com do not do it justice, Bellingham is a lovely village with several pubs, cafe's and shops..Hadrians wall 25 min drive away and many walks from the door, hosts were lovely and helpful, what a find..we loved it
Very peaceful location , right next to the beautiful walk to the waterfall. A few minutes walk into Bellingham which has small shops selling local produce and places to eat. The accommodation was lovely . Private courtyard with hot tub and small BBQ (bring your own coals etc ). Good cooking facilities inside . The bed was comfortable but not ideal if you are very tall. Everything was spotless. Allocated parking spot outside. No complaints, just sad to leave. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I took my mum and brother away for 3 nights. We all had our own space and individual bathrooms for privacy. The driveway was great as we came in two cars and the patio safe and secure for our dog. Bellingham is a lovely village to wander around with Kielder, Alnwick and Hexham all within travelling distance. We are already talking about a return trip next year!
The staff were lovely and attentive, the room was comfortable and clean, great shower. The location is fab, right in the centre of Bellingham, with a few pubs nearby and a little shop across the road. We also ate in the cafe on the Saturday night and the food was really nice for the price. Breakfast was also great.
The cottage was lovely and so different. The decor is amazing! There is no other word but quirky. I want to say more but I won't! As you have to see it for yourselves!
It was very comfortable & being a little way out of Bellingham it was quite. The facilities were also great.
Great location on edge of Bellingham with river and countryside views. Friendly, helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere. Lovely breakfast in bright, pleasant dinng room. Comfortable, spacious room with balcony. Appreciated the swimming pool for morning swim!
Very comfortable room with massive bed, new decor and furniture. Modern ensuite with lovely powerful shower. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV and WiFi. Well equipped kitchen shared with the 6 rooms in the block. 15min walk in to Bellingham.
This accommodation is finished to a high standard. Excellent use of the space makes it perfect for two people. It’s in an ideal location in the centre of Bellingham. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.
Bellingham is such a charming village. It was absolutely beautiful. The B&B and cafe were very tidy. The food was delicious. There are lovely hikes to go on as well.
