This is not our first stay at Glan Aber and as always it was really good. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the beds comfortable. The shower was powerful and spacious and the room well lit.
Breakfast is good quality and substantial and lots of other extras such as Danish pastries and good filter coffee available too.
Will be happy to book here again when next back in the area

Small village but very quaint and with plenty of amenities available.
The train station is right in the middle of the village and connects with Llandudno from where many connections are available to England’s major cities. Around the station are restaurants and cafes, and the visitor centre is in walking distance (also with cafe and other shops).
I didn’t use any of the buses but could see a few that take you to other towns, including the ones that are a starting point to hike Snowdon.
From Betws-Y-Coed there are a few very agreeable walks like Fairy Glen, Llyn Elsi, and Swallow Falls, through the forest or along the river.
It’s a lovely place to stay for a few days. Tranquil and relaxing.

So much to do and see within a reasonable drive.
So much to do and see within a reasonable drive. Aswell as Betws-y-coed, we visited Zip World, Anglesey and Llandudno.
Some of the roads were extremely narrow, but we hardly saw any traffic on them.
Lots of lovely shops and cafes in Betws-y, and the views were amazing. We even saw the B&B that we visited 15 years ago was still there!

Attractive small town with much to see and do.
Attractive small town with much to see and do. Good range of shops, pubs and eateries all in a lovely valley setting. Good food options with take-aways, cafes, pubs, hotels and a few restaurants.
Good access generally but busy pavements when it is really crowded in the Summer.
Local.s generally welcoming and friendly. This is a clean little town that is attractive and well maintained.
Plenty to do if you enjoy walking and exploring...including some well maintained river walks - but flat land is at a premium.
There IS parking... but you often have to search for it!

Amazingly relaxing time and a pleasure to meet the Tyn-y-Coed staff - nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay.
The food and drink choices were exceptional and the log fire was a perfect backdrop to the bar and lounge.
And best of all, the location is stunning and a perfect base for our trip.
We'll be back for sure.

It's a small cottage in a beautiful location.
It's a small cottage in a beautiful location. Kitchen is tiny but perfectly adequate. Dishes are lovely. Washer, no dryer. No internet access, which is great if you're trying to get away from stress of work! Didn't receive reply to emails once we arrived, but they mY have been away. Short drive to betws y coed, which has the typical shops including an outdoor store where you can buy camping towels, if you didnt bring your own! and great food, and a wonderful hike up to a lake.

Betws y Coed is a beautiful, busy Victorian town with many scenic attractions such as waterfalls, and forest walks. Plenty of outdoor clothing & equipment shops and cafes & restaurants. The gardens and public areas are well maintained. It can get very busy at peak times and parking can be challenging. There is a wide range of accommodation from cheap bunkhouses to quality hotels.
We stayed at Glan Aber for our 6 year anniversary. The staff are really lovely, had a lovely ambience, it is situated at the heart of Betws y coed.
The hotel is very clean, our room was very well presented, the breakfast in the morning was nice- there was a variety of options and it’s pet friendly! There is a separate area within the hotel for dog owners, which is really handy. The check in/check out process was so simple! No long queue or hassle. I would definitely recommend as the hospitality was 10/10.
Hotel location very close to the village centre with church nearby (nice to hear the bells). breakfast was very nice served in the room itself caused by covid restrictions, room was clean with hair-dryer, kettle and plenty of tea/coffee supply. Julie & Tony were really accommodating - prepared a take-away breakfast for us to have on our trip to the top of Snowdon. Really loved the whole area around the hotel and had a great time. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you very much for everything
We had a health problem and the owner changed the dates for us without charging extra with absolutely no hassle .
The hotel is just a short walk from the town/village Center and was very warm , this is a good walkers hotel.
It is not 5 star but very decent for the money so we were happy .
Well priced for the area and access to walking routes and transport .
The hotel is in a quiet place but at the same time on a main road.
The owner is nice and breakfast decent .
I love the way that how staff treating everyone, I was having a rough day before day arrived at the hotel, when I was arrived it was around 11 30 am and receptionist told me that ideal check in time is 3 pm but he considered my request and cleaned my room on priority and allowed to check-in by 12:30.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was awesome..
I would like to thank each and every hotel staff for treating me so well. Highly recommend property.
Lovely location a very short walk into the centre of town. The Waterloo Hotel itself is clean and beautifully kept. The housekeeping staff do a wonderful job and the rooms are spotless, as is the pool and the spa. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning to The Waterloo Hotel again soon. The hotel can't be faulted, the staff are all friendly and professional, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be returning.
The cottage was so Homely and the host had thought of everything.
We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. The kids loved exploring the garden. The location is superb . We spent our weekend exploring waterfalls and near by coasts. We would definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. And as mentioned in previous reviews the beds were so so comfy they were out of this world.
The room and bed was comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the facility. For a hostel, the room had more hotel like facilities with tea and coffee etc. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good with plenty on offer. Its a good start to the day. Also the dining area is spacious
There are some really comfortable chairs which you can relax in after a long day
Amazing location close to restaurants and beautiful walks close by. The buses to Snowdonia are within a 5 minute walk of the hostel as well which was great! The common areas were spacious, a large kitchen to use, showers had hot water and the beds were wooden so there was no squeaking. The staff were lovely and gave us advice for our trip - would stay here again next time we’re back!
A lovely hotel. Lovely view of the River Conwy from the bedroom window. The bedroom was clean and nicely decorated and the shower was very modern and clean too . So much choice on the dinner menu , my steak was excellent . The staff were friendly too . Whenever I visit Betws y Coed in the future I'll be staying here .
Great hotel in a beautiful Welsh town. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant at the hotel had great food and friendly staff.
The hotel is located close to restaurants, cafes, shops and ice-cream parlours.

Great hotel in lovely location, rooms were large and fitted out well, hotel, room and surroundings very clean, staff were nice, welcoming and friendly, food and service both excellent, would definitely recommend.
Located a bit out of Betws-y-coed (5 minutes walk), surrounded by loads of calming green, excellent food to choose from, very friendly service by Alison and Steve. Defo will book again
We liked the staff, the decor of the hotel and rooms. The breakfast was very good.
The hotel was right in the heart of the town and ideally situated for exploring North wales.
The hotel is a true traditional English pub and makes you feel like you’re back in the day. Staff was funny and friendly and we enjoyed our meals there.
