It’s looking tired but it’s the gateway to lots of other places. Plymouth is within reach maybe 40mins by car. The prison has the attraction of the museum with guided tours which are great fun The prison, now hotel is absolutely wonderful. Great gala night for new year with the best food ever. The Bodmin folk are so friendly and will advise on where to eat to suit your budget. The Eden project is a great trip to make even on a rainy day. There are do many places to suit any pocket don’t forget Looe such a pretty place

Was visiting a sick relative in the hospital & hotel very convenient for that. Have always been in transit elsewhere so didn't know the town well. So attractive and clean. Very friendly people who readily helped direct or help in other ways. I have relatives who came from Probus and Devonshire so visited both counties from 1946 onwards and think changes by and large sensitive and well carried out. The beauty of the county and rural nature has been largely preserved and if controlled population increase measures are sympathetically controlled, the character of the county ought to be preserved along with its beauty.

A great experience, the renovation work is amazing throughout the hotel! We only stayed there for 1 night but we would have liked to have spend more time. Comfortable beds, and a great spacious bathroom. Great breakfast options. Would be great to have gluten free options in the room service menu.

Bodmin was a really good distance from all the places I wanted to visit and I knew there was road works (till 2024) on the road further south and didn’t want to be stuck on the road whilst on a long drive anyway .

We went to the Eden Project for half a day and enjoyed the biodomes. We spent a day at Lanhydrock House, looking around the house and we walked miles around the estate. We also hired bikes through Saint Piran Cafe (and bike hire shop), the staff were excellent and we loved the 18 mile round trip on the bikes, followed by a drink in the cafe afterwards. We also enjoyed a pizza from Dominos in Bodmin and the best fish and chips from Welcome Stranger in Lanivet, near Bodmin, we would absolutely recommend this place for a fantastic meal!

Enjoyed my overnight stay at Trehellas. The staff were very friendly and helpful it is conveniently situated close to Wadebridge where I was working, plenty of on-site parking too. The evening meal was very tasty and reasonably priced and the breakfast was very nicely cooked and made a good start to my day. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable, nothing exceptional but for the price charged (£49.00) more than acceptable. I did stay in the cheapest accomodation available at the hotel so maybe the higher priced rooms are better still?

Waterside was a great, dog friendly, convenient and as described facility. The accommodation was spacious, very well equipped and included a henry hoover, decent kitchenware, airers, fan, welcome pack and even an umbrella. The bed was comfortable, lots of linen was provided and it all felt clean. The area was peaceful but centrally located for sightseeing around Cornwall. There was a really useful information sheet showing details of local beaches and postcodes. we would certainly return and not hesitate to recommend to friends.

The staff were all great, friendly and polite, the hotel and golf course are set in beautiful Cornish countryside near Bodmin with easy short drives to the Cornish coast. Our room was very clean and had en suite bathroom and Tea/Coffee making facilities. Breakfast was included and you could chose from cereal, toast and Croissants to full English breakfast, a really great selection. Evening meal was superb and a real plate full, the 6oz burger was one of the best I’ve ever eaten.

Shame alot tof the facilities were still closed but the DreadLock escape rooms and Footgolf were really good. WE were told that the bar terrace overlooked the lake but the busehes in form tof the terrace had grown so high you could not see the lake. Arrival reception could have been a little more friendly and helpful and some outside areas aroudn the bar looked a bit scruffy but the lodge was perfect and exceeded expectations.

Beautifully renovated apartment In nice housing area. The layout of the apartment is very well designed and the space has wonderful natural light, good views out of the dorma windows. Kitchen well equipped. Very clean and comfy stay. I wasn’t on holiday, it was a place to stay to be close in proximity to visit my dad at Bodmin Hospital. The apartment became my sanctuary. Thank you.

The hotel was so clean and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We visited in March and our room was always warm and cosy, massive rooms with comfy beds and clean soft linen. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. High quality produce. It was only a 10 minute drive from Bodmin town centre so it was really easy to find. Quiet and peaceful location.

The property was spotlessly clean, the room was comfortable and had all of the facilities that you would expect of any guest accommodation. It is centrally located in a peaceful development, for access to all of Cornwall’s offerings. Also a short walk, around 20 minutes to Bodmin town centre where you will find plenty of pubs and restaurants. All in all, a great place to stay.

Excellent value for money and a great option versus booking a hotel room. Chris was available online to answer any questions ahead of our visit and the accomodation met our expectations. Bonus to have parking on site and within easy walking distance of the town centre. Will definitely book again if back in Bodmin on business.

After a long day of cycling across Cornwall I received a really warm welcome from the team, I might have been one of the few mid-week guests but I was really well looked after, nothing was too much trouble, and I had a really good evening meal, breakfast and the lodge was perfect.
