Very nice property, well equipped. Clean and liked the fact they had full sky including sports and all movies and streaming services. Highly recommend.
Once visited by Oliver Cromwell and Henry VI, parts of Irton Hall date back to the 14th century.

We were a group of 8 people and stayed in one of the cottages. The place is very cosy with beautiful surroundings! It was a shame we only stayed for one night and had to leave early as we were doing the 3 Peak Challenge across UK.
Staff were helpful too and had no problem with us checking out early in the morning.
1692 Wasdale is closed to Gosforth and features a garden, terrace and shared lounge. Rooms include a patio with a sea view. At the hotel, the rooms come with a desk.

Modern accommodation. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into making our stay as comfortable as possible. Nice attention to detail in both the room and communal areas.

Did the job, cute wee room above a traditional Cumbrian pub. Great place to stay if you also want to enjoy some real ales and Cumbrian food. The staff were all lovely and it had good heating (not always the case in these parts). The breakfast the next day was tasty and served in front of a roaring fire.
Atop one of England’s most beautiful valleys, Woolpack Inn is a 20-minute drive from the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. It is surrounded by scenic hiking trails, and offers real ales and free Wi-Fi.

we chose this location as it was close to wasdale head to climb scafell pike! Thankfully we got the last room for the hotel for the weekend and we werent disappointed. The room had a lovely
Modern bathroom with walk in shower, the bed was lovely and comfy especially after our hike! The decor was country and cosy which was perfect! The inn was super busy as local campsites were close and it was such a friendly lovely environment. The staff were informative and very helpful! Miles particularly who served us was just a beacon of excellent customer service. The communication amongst the team was great, especially around the need to wait for the chef to catch up for orders which was absolutely fine. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited. The food was nice, especially the bbq ribs dipped in the soup of the day (potato and leek). We really loved our stay, thanks for having us!

What a peaceful place! Great attention to detail and spotless clean
Not easy access to Boot due to narrow roads but worth it.
Not easy access to Boot due to narrow roads but worth it. The Ravenglass steam railway is very close and worth the trip. A lot of interesting country pubs in the Boot area that are worth checking out, in particular the Boot Inn with a outdoor beer garden and very good food and friendly owners and staff.

Pub is lovely.
Pub is lovely. Room we had was spacious reasonably clean and very comfortable.
Food very nice. Breakfast ample choice. Fresh and well cooked.
Restaurant menu reasonable variety and each dish we had was well presented. Good portions and very tasty.
Be aware this is a dog friendly venue. Not all the clientele have good control of their dogs.
Not suitable unless you have your own transport.

The area is stunning.
The area is stunning. There are amazing walks of all types, a river to splash and play in and a steam train that takes you up the valley. For the history enthusiast there is also an amazing ruin of a Roman Fort on Hardnott Pass and a working water wheel in Boot.

Beautiful little village but with surprisingly a lot to do...
Beautiful little village but with surprisingly a lot to do there. The Boot Inn served lovely food. The water mill and Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway are right on the doorstep. It also an ideal spot to walk from, a short stroll to a waterfall or full on days hike up Scafell Pile without even getting in the car.

Driving over the Wrynose and Hardknott pass to reach the pub...
Driving over the Wrynose and Hardknott pass to reach the pub was an adventure in itself as the road is certainly challenging even ina car! The pub is in a small remote village surrounded by beautiful countryside and with walks starting from the front door. Food was good traditional pub food and the breakfast was an excellent full English.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was small but comfortable, but with no TV or area to sit and read. The view was slightly spoiled by the mobile home accommodation for the staff.
Because of the location, beer, pub food and staff I would certainly recommend as a base for a walking holiday in the Lakes
The Boot Inn, is set in a lovely location. As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly by Paula and shown to our room. The room was lovely and everything we needed for our stay. The evening menu is great with an endless list of specials. The food was wonderful. Breakfast was served by the owner Stuart who was also very friendly. We will definitely stay again when we are next in the area. It's a lovely part of the world.
What a great place to stay was used as a base for a fair few hikes and I chose to take hardknott pass to get to Boot and what a drive it was. An amazing place to stay and would stay again in a heart beat.
The cottage had everything that was needed a private garden with bbq if needed and a fully equipped kitchen, I chose to eat at the boot inn which I highly recommend what a great pub right at the door step
Love the location, Boot village, an inspiration Makes it easier to work.
Loved the room, food and the willingness of staff members to share their thoughts and aspirations.
Influenced how well work progressed. Kept me articulate when faced with exceptionally difficult personal issues.
The breakfast was acceptable. The location of the Boot Inn in Eskdale was stunning, but slightly away from the main popular areas of interest in the Lakes. It was really handily situated for access to the steam railway that runs to Ravenglass.
Been to the Boot Inn a few times now always a great place to be. Stayed one night ,excellent all round, one of our favourite places in the lakes. Some great walks in the area too.Very friendly staff.
Our stay at the Boot Inn was perfect.
It was off season and we were made welcome and looked after very well, exceptional food, friendly staff in a beautiful location. Thanks to all there.
Beautiful location. The cottage was beautiful and spacious with everything you need
The boot inn next door to cottage: we went for a Sunday roast and it was lovely
