It is so easy going in Bowness we try to come here as often as we can. There’s something to do for everyone young and old. We have a dog now and he’s so relaxed here many places are dog friendly. Bars and restaurants brilliant especially Italians on the Main Street. Our favourite place can’t wait to come back

I liked the Beatrix Potter museum, Holehird Gardens, and Stagshaw gardens, Hayes garden centre up in Ambleside. Booked an amazing day trip with Mountain Goat tours that took us around ten Lakes of the Lake District with our amazing guide Mark Shipley. the restaurants I went to was Francine's up in Windermere, Urban Food House (superb) and the Magic Roundabout. I was within walking distance of everything in Bowness. I probably would avoid booking in the school holidays, was very busy everywhere. the weather was very changeable but it is the wettest area of Great Britain.

Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea.
Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea. I have been in the summer before and it is so busy it is unpleasant and parking is difficult. I would advise visitors to choose a hotel with private parking - preferably free, some charge for parking - leave a car there and walk to town or to the lakeside. Also be aware that Bowness is built on a steep hill and not all roads have pavements.

The town and area around Bowness are beautiful.
The town and area around Bowness are beautiful. We were able to walk and visit an amazing Arts and Crafts house and then see a very undeveloped part of the lake shore on foot. The ferry across the lake was nearby and the walk to Hill Top to see Beatrix Potter's house was beautiful and well signed. We had good meals in a pub and bistro near to Fairfield House so not needing to use the car made the location great for us.

All three rooms were excellent in size and space, and two of the rooms had a lovely balcony. The staff were friendly and approachable. The restaurant at Burn How is excellent with good variety of breakfast options. The location is superb and within easy reach of town centre as well as the lake. The free parking was just outside the front door of each room and there are two separate entrances to the hotel. There is a lovely garden at the back which allows for a gentle stroll and sitting down with a drink.
I booked the hotel as a little weekend away as a 70th birthday present for my mum. The hotel was absolutely fabulous 👌 the decor is beautiful 😍 and the outdoor terrace over looking some great views we enjoyed immensely. The custome service was excellent! Especially the lady on the front desk who checked us in and throughout our stay couldn't do enough for us ! She was fantastic! The breakfast was very good ! Just what we needed before a day of adventuring ! Definitely will be booking again soon !
Breakfast was lovely, beautifully presented, Karol and Nigel are pleasant and always attentive. The Covid situation has prevented the full array of choice, self serve cereals, fruit etc at the present time, but for us it was not a problem. The en suite room was bright and comfy. Its position is just a few hundred metres from all that's going on at Bowness on Windermere, we love it here. Value for money, hosts are friendly and helpful, even tips on local walks to take.
The property was conveniently located to allow for walking distances into Bowness on Windermere or Windermere. Car Parking was available as advertised and the hotel it self was very clean and well maintained. The host was very friendly and approachable for local knowledge on activities/places to eat within the area. The breakfast itself was a good standard and filled for the day ahead. The WIFI worked as well.
Kidsty pike is a beautiful apartment as it had all the mod cons you expect in an apartment and we would definitely go back. It has the town centre of bowness on windermere right on the door step. It's was lovely and clean and to be honest I can't fault this apartment in any way as its beautiful like I siad. It is a little bit hard to find but once we found the apartment, car park there to park your car. 😊
Breakfast was booked in times slots of 20minutes which ensured everything was freshly cooked with plenty of choice being available. We opted for bar meals in the evening which had a good selection all staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is decorated to a very high standard with comfortable
Furniture in the lounge / bar and public areas well
Deserved 4 star rating
The location was perfect for our stay, within a couple of minutes walk from Lake Windermere and the town. Amazing hosts who made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast that Nigel cooked was easily the best I've had in a hotel for ages! The Lingwood Lodge exceeded our expectations for sure. Will definitely come back again and stay here. Thanks
The hotel completely exceeded our expectations. When we arrived, we were greeted by Nick who added so many lovely extras to the place. The beds are extremely comfy and every detail has been well thought of. The hotel itself is in a brilliant location in the heart of Bowness, a 2 minute walk to all the pubs and local shops.
This clean apartment is located in a superb location in Bowness on Windermere. We especially like the extra firmness of the mattress (the usual soft mattress of BnB or hotel hurts my back), which is very comfortable! The owner has provided useful information about the car park after confirmation of the booking.
very clean and comfortable hotel room with a good view of the lake.
staff were friendly and efficient. parking was ample but tight for a larger vehicle like a minibus etc
Bowles’s pier and town are only a short walk with everything you would need.
Fantastic picturesque setting. Very quaint. Spotless hotel with lovely staff. Bowness on Windermere is a beautiful town with plenty of places to eat and drink. Thoroughly enjoyed my few days and will go back.
The location is perfect. The hotel is by the main road, but not noisy at all. Totally soundproofing. The staffs are very friendly. James is very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend the hotel.
We love the Belsfield Hotel. The staff are very helpful and the furnishings and decor are beautiful. The location is perfect, especially, if you cannot walk very far. Everything spotlessly clean.
The facilities were great and so much to do within just the hotel it’s self such as the restaurant the pub and the spa facilities. Our hot tub in the room was amazing and just made it so special
Great location for Bowness-On-Windermere. Really close to everything, but felt really quiet. Great to have parking available. Great views over the Lake from our bedroom and the breakfast room.
