I'm always a little torn with regard to giving reviews when we stay somewhere nice as it just encourages more people to stay then we can't get a room when we want one! In this case, however, the place was so good, I couldn't keep quiet....
The staff were all excellent - friendly, polite and accommodating.
The room wasn't massive but was very comfortable and well equipped.
The bar was great - small and traditional.
The beer was excellent and well kept and the food was outstanding.
I cannot recommend the Stapylton highly enough and will definitely be returning.
One tip - the restaurant is soooooo popular that I would recommend booking in advance....

Lovely well equipped cottage in the heart of the Howardian Hills. The beds are superb and are really comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want. The welcome pack was the best we have ever had. Beautifully decorated and really friendly host.
