The Area is lively, Artsy, inclusive and has a very positive vibe. People are friendly and shopping is boutique and individual. The coast is a pebble beach, but full of activity, great places to eat, drink and people watch. I loved Brighton! Beware of Air B&Bs as it is a very popular destination so they are busy. Therefore they are priced high so although you may pay a premium they are not always premium establishments. Having said that, the Great outdoors including Devils Dyke is awesome! So Brighton itself makes your trip!
I went there for a specific event so not really anything to add. However, if you play croquet, the Southwick club is amazing and there is also a seafront club in Hove itself. Been to Brighton many times and, of course, the place to visit is the Royal Pavilion - if you are a visitor there, that's a must see. Much less to see in Hove itself, unless you like pebble beaches and sunbathing.
Everytime that I go ,is Changing or renovating something inside me, freshness and relaxing 360° view, bicycle, sunset parties on the beach, music and beer, The other really beautiful thing is the theatre in front of the sea, beautiful!
A new addition to YHA and they are work in progress. Superb location. Lovely German speaking staff Breakffasts superb Downside- no "self catering option" and Brighton Restaurants are very expensive,
Wonderful place. Quirky, happy vibe. An unbelievable array of bars and restaurants. A day trip to the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head Cliffs is great if you’re outdoorsy. The 2 day hop on hop off bus is a great value as it includes travel on any other Brighton and Hove bus service. And there are a LOT of buses.
Be prepared to do a lot of walking if you want to see the real Brighton and Hove and not just the seafront. There are some really good independent traders off the beaten track. There’s a really good burger bar on North Road called Burger Brothers, it’s small but worth a visit
Hotel staff are fantastic best i have experienced so far, and i have stayed in quite few hotels in Brighton, they are so helpful and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble. We ordered room service and food was good and delivered with a smile. The rooms although dated are very clean. And the beds are so comfortable. Bedding was lovely white thick cotton clean along with the pillows. Lots clean soft towels and room has an iron and board. Hotel is in a great location for Town centre, The Lanes and seafront. We will definitely visit again. 🙂
Friendly and helpful staff, Kelly went above and beyond in terms of helpfulness. Hotel cocktail bar was lovely, breakfast was just right, we really enjoyed the fresh fruit salad and the lemon curd was the best I have ever tasted. The room was lovely, really stylish with a massive comfortable bed, we slept very well. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants in the vicinity and a short stroll to both the seafront and the main shopping area. We would love to come back and highly recommend a stay at Blanch House.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, although we did not have much interaction with them outside of checking in/ out. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Amenities provided include hairdryer, toiletries and fan (although ours did not work unfortunately). Being on the seafront, the location of the hotel is fantastic. You are steps away from the beach, seconds away from the famous Brighton bandstand and around 5 minutes walk to the pier.
Kemptown, Brighton & Hove
Comfortable … and clean in a quieter part of Brighton. Cheap parking nearby. Didn’t see any staff but all instructions clear and precise… asked for a twin bed .. got a twin bed. Clean and modern interior… hair straighteners a bonus. All v simple, small place … Cafes near by for Breakfast … nice wine bar over the road … 15/20 min walk to pier … 2 min walk to seafront …. No bar or lounge area …
Had COVID-19 so I chose to upgrade to a private room as I didn't have to isolate due to England's lack of isolation rules. I was surprised that staff would let me stay in the dorm room, but they gave me a discount on the upgraded room and it was incredible with views of the beach. Incredible location and the private room was massive
- Location is perfect. The hotel is quite literally a stone's throw from the train station, and I'm no athlete. - The family room booked for me and 2 friends was spacious, and exceeded my expectations for such a cheap room. - The bathroom was particularly nicely furnished
Brighton & Hove
Room was spacious and extremely cheap. The hotel is one row of buildings back from the seafront and is in a great location to go into the local towns, restaurants and bars.
The hotel location speaks for itself. Right on the beach and very easy to find. I also really like the price of the hotel also. For a night or two, I would stay again.
The Hotel is at the end of the Pier next to the beach - the dinning area with lounge area look out to sea It is close to many food outlets including Fish & Chips
Reception could do with renovation, very dark. Could do with having help with parking as very expensive, some Brighton hotels give vouchers for a discount.
A very clean and pleasant small hotel adjacent to Brighton beach and pier. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room was large and comfortable. Great access to the beach front. Nice hotel for Brighton State.
